how is it that patreon has not dislike buttons!? , eating food reviews not my fav. honestly it only gives me hunger.
I've always had problems understanding the target market for vegan food. I always figure people who are vegan object to either the taste of meat, or the fact that its killing animals to generate the food. You COULD make plants into completely new foods for people to eat. But here the target market is people who don't want to eat meat. So I don't get why same people would respond to the sales pitch "we did an impressive job making those plants taste and physically resemble those animal corpses you were so repulsed by the idea of eating". :)
Those are meant for people who like meat too much, but would otherwise become vegan because they don't like the animal cruelty or whatever.
I can see that they went through some effort to reproduce meat/etc, but I still have to ask: why?? Unless you're a really hard-core vegan, this is just objectively worse food for more money.
Could probabally do r/Noah
i like the fact that u do these kind of vods because i learn about new food i have never seen before so thank u
Burger King had the Impossible Burger and they advertised that it tasted just like beef and that you couldn't tell the difference. I tried one . . . .I could tell a BIG difference. I'm like, sure, it tastes like beef . . . .if you've never eaten beef before.
At the beginning of the video, Ein was like," ooh Mickey D's". Then realized it was vegan and was like, "I'm out."
Did anyone else have to get up, go close the door, turn the light on, walk backwards around the room twice, turn the light off again, re-open the door and sit back down because your OCD was trying to un-see Kai taking a bite of the quarter pounder while HOLDING IT UPSIDE DOWN???
The thumbnail makes me wanna put the captions "Is this a McDonalds?".
It's the "Uncanny Valley" effect, it's almost right, but not really!
McDonalds golden era was between the 80's and 90's, Happy Meals had the best toys back then, now everything is just stamped out garbage from temu.
Wow. $21.63 No. 7 Mr.Chuck Frowny (Los Angeles, CA) $14.19 Big Mac Meal (Los Angeles, CA) $10.89 Big Mac Meal (by me) $3.19 McD Cheeseburger (by me)
I'd try it.. I probably wouldn't like it. But it's about the experience of trying new things lol.
do you want me to unsubscribe or something?
Didn't know there was a veggie McDonald's, thank you for the warning. FWIW I disagree about the 1/4 meat flavor. I personally feel like the flavor of a 1/4pounder reminds me of masking tape glue.
Shameless indirect kissing! Ahhh!
Multiple incidences of saliva swapping here - confirmed they deffo swapping bodily fluids.
So, like a culinary uncanny valley?
As Uncle Roger says: Vegetables taste like sad.
That's probably why they put a frowny face on their packaging.
13:40 I hear Henry and agree 100%, but you can fool yourself if you want. Take for example diet soda. If you drink Coke, don't switch to diet Coke, switch to Diet Pepsi. Your brain will not expect Diet Pepsi to taste like Coke, so it will not taste "wrong" to you. If you eat Beef all the time but don't eat pork, and you want to go Vegan, only go for imitation pork products. Not advocating for Diet drinks or Vegan food, just giving a way to fool yourself into thinking they are not that bad :)
kai just get out of a pool or something? hair is wet. probably was in shower then realized "oh crap gotta make a vid today"
I have yet to try a fake meat that I have liked. I've eaten insect dishes in foreign countries that taste better.
I like the boca burgers. However, I think of them as just a food rather than specifically a beef burger.
☹️
D:
Even the smiley faces were sad they were vegan.
"Just don't be Vegan." Well said, Kai. Well said.
Oh, i thought they were gonna eat the vegan options from actual McDonalds. I didn't know there was an actual vegan equivalent to McDonalds.
Yeah, that company is just asking for a lawsuit, but they are figuring they can pull the "we are vegan being persecuted by the evil meat merchant!!!" (that we are shamelessly imitating)...
What ? no fillet of fish?
Isn't that already no meat
I find the dynamic of the content has shifted since Jeannie left. She gave a more bubbly energy which was a compliment and counter to Henry's vibe. Now it's like two Henry's but one has a more indebt understanding of women.....not worse, just different.
Well said! I've been trying to put that thought into words and your comment was just what I was feeling. It's like Henry doesn't have to tip toe around his male point of view, because Kai has the female version of it. She isn't shy or ashamed to say things like a guy would.
So funny watching Kai give high scores while Henry just calls it ass
I can see a keto version being a lot more acceptable because at least the meat is real.
Completely agree. And I once had a roommate who was om that keto diet. So I actually tried some stuff that was better in the keto version. Not much, honestly. But like, Beef Jerky for example. You would never realize how much removing the sugar would make a difference. But it makes the Jerky so much more savory. It's really good!
I didn't even know there was a Vegan McDonald's. I do wish they would've bought actual McDonald's and did a proper comparison.
Vegan McDonald's seems like a very niche market
It is, with only 3 locations in Cali, and one in Australia. It's for real vegans, and for people who just want to try out of curiosity.
The packaging design for Mr. Charlie's is like something you'd see on Family Guy. And...more golf, please!
This is a strange relationship. They act like siblings. They call each other bro and eat after each other. 😆
They've always done that, even when Henry and Jeannie were together. They all took a bite one after the other.
When not even the chicken tastes like chicken.
The chicken stopped tasting like chicken long ago D:
