Update

So, shortly after my last update, I had another medical incident and had to be hospitalized again. This one wasn't as bad as the previous one which required emergency surgery, but it was a major cause for concern since I've been taking all of the necessary precautions to prevent this from happening, apparently to no avail. As a result, I was kept in the hospital for  a little over a month and observed carefully during which time it became apparent that I've been having mini-incidents from time to time. Now, given that I was completely isolated from possible causes of the incidents, it means that I may have to simply accept that this will happen from time to time, and I may have to be hospitalized when it does as providing a way to treat my condition when it happens at home is simply waaaay to expensive to be considered. There is also a risk every time a major incident happens that I may simply die, as the nature of my problem is not one which has a solution or 'cure' per se.

Now, I know that sounds pretty fucking grim, but on a brighter note, I was able to accomplish a lot at the hospital in terms of getting my mobility back as I had regular supervised physiotherapy at the hospital, and I'm now able to move around on my own fairly competently on my own. This means that I may very well be able to get back to writing sooner rather than later but it may be too early to set a timeline as there is a lot of housekeeping and other frivolities at home that need to be settled, and obviously, there will be disruptions in the event that a medical incident occurs, but I'm still really determined to do this. There's not a lot that I can even do anymore apart from writing (not counting my wife's suggestion that I indulge myself a little bit and catch up on some gaming), and to be honest, my mind and my creations have been a place of solace for me. They kind of always have been, but in the last few years more so than ever, they have really kept me going, and I'd really like to share the stories I've thought up with whoever still cares for them if I can manage it.

Regards,
Kousaka~

It's good to hear from you again! I do hope, that whatever your condition is, it's at least manageable. As a doctor myself, I can't help but wonder, do you have it on good authority, that there is nothing to be done to cure it permanently?

Definitely a good thought, if you hadn't already it may be worth a shot to get a second opinion somewhere from a specialist.
