Update

So, I'd planned to have another release up for you this month, but this weekend was a disaster. I still might have been able to manage it if I pushed myself w/ an all-nighter tonight into tomorrow, but I kind of realized I need to stop going overboard like that because it's really not sustainable. So, rather than trying to keep it under wraps, I'm just gonna let you know what I was working on:

I had a bit of inspiration and started writing Banished chapter 21. Yeah, I know, I said I'd go back to trapped and that's still the plan, but going from the end of one work to a sequel can be tricky sometimes, esp if I leave it alone for a while, so I figured, why not? It'd help me to maintain the momentum of the series, and while I did work on trapped a bit, I think I also need to acknowledge that Josh's mental state is a dangerous space for me to spend too much time in.

So, here's the plan. From now until trapped is complete or some other kind of problem pops up, I'll be aiming for a minimum 2 releases per month. One chapter of trapped which I'll work on at the start of the month, and a chapter of Banished. Alternating between the two might help me to keep a consistent rhythm going on both, and I think, help me to maintain a net positive productive output.

As for chapter 21, I managed to get to 40 pages. The end is in sight, but it might be another 10 or so more pages. Tentatively, that should be done in two days, but given that I want to release chapter 19, I'm gonna switch focus to that tomorrow, and after it's submitted, complete the new chapter and post it here. Then it's on to trapped.

Sometime this month, there will be a new illustration from chapter 2 after which the contest winning illustration will be commissioned. As a fun game, if anyone wants to guess which scene from chapter 2 I've commissioned, dm me your guesses and you'll get a special preview of the sketch!
