Update
Thought I had everything lined up to get back to writing back in December, but man, the universe had other plans. My PC just wouldn't start. Turns out my motherboard gave out. Honestly thought it would have been easy to find a replacement, but found nothing locally. Downside of living in a 3rd world country. Had to wait for a replacement to be shipped in and that took three weeks longer than it was supposed to, then when it finally did get here I find out that my GFX card is also toasted, and yippie, there's no integrated GFX on my board. I bought the cheapest possible replacement just to get back up and running, so here I am. :S
I ended up taking up more freelance work through January since working for my old uni meant I could use the department's computer lab for my work, but unfortunately since they log everything in there, I wasn't able to get much writing done.
Well, hopefully that will now change.
I'm not taking any jobs for February, and I'm hoping that I can get back into the swing of writing, because I really REALLY missed it. Honestly, I don't think I can survive having another year as bad as 2019 was. I worked my ass off and drove myself crazy, and all I have to show for it is moderate financial stability that's about as fragile as my current mental state.
Speaking of my fragile mental state, I really really apologize for this but I don't think I can work on editing trapped just yet. I'm suffering from editor's burnout as is, so I'm gonna take a little time and write something new, just for the time being. There are some stories I wanna tell apart from trapped. One of them is a series which I am hoping to take up properly when trapped is done, and there are a few other short stories that I've got rolling around in my head.
Will post updates as things go along.
TL;DR: I'm back at writing, not trapped just yet, but perhaps soon.
TC All!

So.... 8 months ago part 6 was done, albeit with alterations being made and being edited, and you were supposedly halfway through part 7.... 8 months ago. Which was at the time 14 months after part 5 was released.... I'm not saying you've not been busy or had other more important things happening, but I think a bit of honesty/clarity wouldn't hurt. Also, consider updating more than once or twice a year.
It's pretty simple, really. I worked a 9-hours a day job, with a 4-hour transit (minimum) for the past eighteen months, during which time most of my writing had to be done by hand. The parts that were done in that time, which is basically the completed novel, is all scrawled in notebooks, a lot of which was scribbled away on buses and taxis as I made my journey to and from work. There is a lot of work to be done, to transcribe all of it, and get it not only edited, but fixed, because it is not even remotely readable in its current state. Much of this, I have mentioned before. As for the updates, honestly I did what I could. I was so exhausted throughout 2019 that I wasn't even replying to text messages for months. Updates might seem simple and easy to do, but for me, it wasn't. It was another thing that required more energy than what I had left. Now that my work nightmare is over, I will have the time to provide more timely and frequent updates. Now I'm not sure how much more clarity I can provide, but if my honesty is what you doubt, then all I can say is that I simply do not care. Regards.
Glad you're alright. Don't worry about forcing Trapped, I have a feel it will be infinitely better if you work on it organically. Appreciate the update!
We really missed you too! Glad to see you’re back!
