SwingSet Overhaul
Hi everyone!
At first, this mod was just a little test to help me learn about custom postures and Blender shenanigans, but I decided to take it further and release it. It's also my first mod with a script 🙏
Now you can directly tell Sims to sit on the swing, and they’ll keep swinging while doing everything they can normally do while seated (talk, eat, read, etc). Here's what the idle animations look like for teens to elders:
Kids can also “Stand and Swing,” which increases their Fun need and has the same duration as the original swing interaction, they'll gain Motor skill
Toddlers can use the swing too! With “Tummy Swing,” they’ll also swing for the same amount of time as the regular swing interaction and gain Fun while doing it. They need Movement Skill Level 2 to use it
I added an optional BG swing set file, in case you don't have any in your game. This mod should work with any CC swing set
INSTALATION
Put all files in your Mods folder
The .ts4script file should be placed no more than one subfolder deep inside your Mods folder

Unfortunately, it doesn't work. None of the toddler mods are working. I followed all the steps under "what to do if the mod doesn’t work," but it still doesn't work.

Hi! Thank you sm 💙 There are some Python scripting tutorials on the Sims 4 Modding Wiki with many helpful examples, but what is actually working for me is studying with AI. I set up a project to learn Python basics alongside Sims code, so I test things based on what I'm currently learning and also ask it to correct and explain things to me. I learn better through practice than just theory, and having someone point out my mistakes and teach me why something is wrong is really important for me, so it works great! But if you are against using it, you can start with basic Python logic on youtube and the wiki's tutorials. I recommend you first start modding with XML to get how things work, if you haven't already.

Just the ts4script file and the swingset_overhaul package, the BG swing is only needed if you don't have a swingset in your game
