World Cup, Dev Progress, Heat... I Have a Few Questions for the Fans⭐
Hello everyone! How are you guys doing?
I'm doing fine, just extremely busy as usual. While writing this post, I'm re rendering some scenes, and after that I'll be spending the entire night working on the game.
The heat, the World Cup, and my real life work have all been overwhelming me a bit lately, but I'm staying focused on my goal and doing my best to keep myself motivated.
For me, quality is everything. I won't release anything until I'm 100% satisfied with it. But when I finally bring you an update, you'll know it's well cooked.
Now I want to ask you guys a few questions. I might make a poll about these later, but here's the first one.
Do you like Depth of Field (DoF) in visual novels?
I use it a lot in my game, mainly to blur the background while keeping the characters as sharp as possible. Most of the time, DAZ environments just aren't detailed enough, so blurring the background and focusing on the characters gives much better results.
But I see a lot of games overusing it, especially during sexual scenes. Personally, I believe those scenes are very important, and they should be as clear and visible as possible, at least the important parts. I've also had a few people message me saying they don't like DoF at all.
I'd really like to hear your thoughts.
Another thing I'm considering is adding a Replay Mission option for every mission in the game. In the future, if I add point requirements for certain missions, you'll be able to replay them whenever you want to grind points instead of keeping dozens of save files.
Would you like a feature like that?
I'm also thinking about adding an Info button to Quest menu. When you click it, you'll see exactly how many points you'll gain from that mission, such as Corruption, Romance, and so on.
I'll also add a Tutorial button to the Options menu so that if you ever get stuck or forget something, you can rewatch the tutorials anytime.
My goal is to keep the UI as simple and user friendly as possible. There are older players, and there are people with different needs, so I want everyone to be able to enjoy the game comfortably without confusion.
I know a lot of people dislike sandbox games, but I'll make mine as good as possible.
To me, every player matters. Every person who plays my game matters. I want to keep expanding my audience.
My first goal is to make this the best female protagonist VN out there. After that, I'll keep climbing higher.
Zoey and Valeria deserve the very best.
Now for another question.
I've been thinking about upgrading Valeria to Genesis 9.(she's currently using Genesis 8)
(All of my new characters use Genesis 9, which is why their skin is much more detailed and they look more realistic.)
A long time ago, a friend of mine tried converting her, but as you can see in the pictures below, it didn't turn out very well. She lost everything that made her special, especially her face.
I'm not sure whether the conversion was done correctly or not, but one day I'd like to try it myself.
At the same time, I'm honestly very nervous about it because the result is unpredictable. Genesis 9 uses a different facial rig with additional facial bones, which can completely change a character's facial structure.
I want to upgrade her, not downgrade her.
Valeria is a very special character to me, and I want to keep her that way.
This is only a future plan, after the upcoming update.
Would you like me to try upgrading her to Genesis 9?
Finally, congratulations to Cabo Verde. They played really well against Argentina.
I have a feeling the final will be Portugal vs. Argentina, but we'll see. My favorite is still Mexico. I'd really love to see them become champions because I'd like to see different nations win instead of the same teams every tournament.But we'll see what happens.
Other than that, the lack of wind and the extreme heat are really starting to kick in.

I know it's just a simple message from a random person on the internet but I love what you're creating here my dude, whether you're working on the project solo or with a team. I hope you keep motivated to continue your project with the same love and passion all throughout, from start to finish.
I'm mostly working solo. I only get help with the animations and music. And thank you, man, I'm really glad you like it. Yeah, I always find a way to motivate myself, one way or another. I'll keep doing my best to make this game as amazing as possible from start to finish. I'm already really hyped about everything. Now I just have to finish the renders. The story, on the other hand, is very detailed, and I think it's really good. I just hope it's something everyone will enjoy.
Ideally, DoF would simply be a switch that could be turned on or off at will, as in a 3D game. Since that's not possible here, though, I think it's fine as it is. It doesn't bother me, although I don't quite remember the background to the sex scenes. Maybe that's the last thing I notice 😏😁! Didn't the missions advance the story a little? What would it be like to repeat them over and over again? If the grinding isn't excessive, they're fine. As for Genesis 9, my answer is currently a resounding NO, given your friend's result. Val's appearance is non-negotiable — if her face changes at all, even slightly, it's useless, even if it's Genesis 100. However, if you can use magic to make her look the same, then Genesis 9 might be better, although when playing, you hardly notice the difference 🤨🤷. I wanted to mention that the "on-hover" setting in the quick menu options isn't remembered when exiting the game, but the other options do seem to be persistent. As for the World Cup, the real tournament begins now, with only 16 teams left and all the weaker teams eliminated. If you're not from a country where football is played at a high level, get ready to see some high-flying action 💪😎👍! Have a great Sunday, Xell 🫡!
I was talking about this: if there's a choice that's preventing you from progressing, you can replay another mission or quickly skip to the choice section to change an earlier decision. After all, the choices in the game don't affect the overall story. For example, if you need a Tyler point, you can replay an earlier mission where you can earn one. I'll probably add something like "Play Full Mission" or "Skip to Choices" to make things faster for players. Once they get the point, they can replay the mission they were stuck on. And yeah, I didn't like the G9 version of Valeria. I'll try making her myself and see if she ends up looking good or terrible. I'm definitely not going to release anything ugly. She has to look amazing. Worst case, I'll just keep using the original version without changing anything, and yes i'll fix that bug,

Solo pics are a great idea, man. I'm not from the US, so I didn't celebrate. I think the US has been pretty lucky so far. After Brazil got knocked out, though, anything can happen, honestly. Hey there, hope u doing great! Personally I just can't stand blurry backgrounds, they make my eyes hurt, and I believe the surroundings are very important in a scene (they add context, and just fill the scene so to speak; Netfix please take notes), unless ofc the character is moving at Light Speed or something lol. I hope to see more of Tyler and his friends soon! Looks promising! As for the World Cup, today we have Mexico vs England. I'm not sure who's going to win, bcuz both seem to be around the same level; England hasn't been great lately. I wanted the Finale to be France vs Argentina, but after watching their latest performance, I don't think that's gonna be the case, who knows, Mexico might surprise us.

The version of G9 by Val is completely different from the original one. Additionally, I would like to say that as one of the most powerful countries among the BRICS nations, Brazil is definitely going to win. Thank them for sending Japan back home. Apart from Japan, I believe no Asian country regards Japan as "the light of Asia", and Japan has never won any knockout round.
Yep, G9 Valeria is currently horrible, but this isn't my attempt. A friend of mine tried it, so I'll try it myself and see how it turns out. But of course, I won't be using anything terrible and will keep the original as it is. I honestly don't know which country represents Asia best, but I love Asian girls regardless.
1st, try Genesis 9...then go back to 8 on Valeria. Don't know why but most blondes just seem to lose bone definition, may be lighting. Genesis 9 could work on Zoey, though. But I'm OG and use 3DS Max/PS almost exclusively. I've only dabbled in DAZ and RenPy. 2nd, DOF is definitely overused in a lot of titles. I'd save it for the times you have a really dramatic story turn. Replay mission is probably a good idea for exactly the scenario you referred to, and anything to streamline saves is always a positive. Essentially, the story is the hook and how it's presented to the player is the glue. Visuals are time sucks and hardware eaters. But they're also the most fun. If you find a happy medium, SHARE HOW! LOL
Zoey's texture map is already very high quality, so I don't think it's necessary to move her to G9. She's already on G8.1. Valeria, on the other hand, is using an outdated skin. Still, she looks awesome, and of course I won't use anything that ends up looking ugly. She has to look amazing, or I'll just keep using Genesis 8. As for the gameplay, I want to keep it as accessible as possible, and I'm doing my best to make everything customizable.
