Today is day three of my “dream vacation.”
No Instagram, no work, no sleep, no decent food — a full detox, just like I ordered . I’m sitting here in glorious solitude waiting for everything at once: a reply from my accountant, an appointment for my jaw check-up, and the resurrection of my accounts from digital limbo.
I’ve always dreamed of a break you know, a real break. No Instagram, no Reels, no editing, no news, no answering a hundred messages a day.
Well… dreams do come true, just never quite the way you’d like, right?
While my work is pretending to be dead, of course I can’t just lie around doing nothing.
I started a new project: a friend of mine who sells film cameras asked me to customize a few cosmic style.
So now I’m turning old cameras into intergalactic art pieces. The photo here is the first test subject — still in progress, not the final look.
In the meantime, I’m still hitting the gym and standing on my head — literally and metaphorically. To be honest, these last few days I manage to do pretty much everything wrong. I’m annoyed by everything that moves (and doesn’t move too), especially myself.
Oh, and I started a tiny women’s book club. We’re reading Françoise Sagan — Bonjour Tristesse. Ironic? Oh, absolutely. We basically picked it for the title, lol
I’m trying to walk at least ten thousand steps a day, like maybe if I cover every street in Warsaw, they’ll give me my insta accounts and tax back.
I’m proud of myself for not completely falling apart. But honestly, sometimes it hits so hard that some really bad thoughts creep in. I try to push them away … I have my cats and my mom, they still need me.
To keep myself from going fully crazy, I came up with a mini challenge: I’ll walk around the city and take photos of things in a color you pick.
Name a color, and I’ll share the collection after my next walk.
Maybe someone wants to join me? Maybe we’ll notice the world around us a bit more.
So… what’s my point here? I’m scared. Really scared. But you and my friends make it feel a little warmer.
Thank you, truly.
Take care of yourselves, and I’ll try to do the same. Sending hugs to everyone, even if you hate hugs 💕
