🍒Pomegranates likely originated in Iran, and were introduced to Spanish-held American in the 17th. Spanish merchants brought them to California in 1769 (nice!)

I also love thinking about how the Spanish brought oranges to California and Florida, which we associate with the citrus today.🍒
