Weekly highlights 🧚‍♀️

This week was lovely 🥹 We’re starting to wrap things up before Sam and I head over to Romania for two months. I’m really going to miss Bonnie while we’re away because she’s staying behind this time, but I’m also sooo excited to see Ethan again, go bouldering, and finally get a bunch of boring life admin stuff sorted.

During our little crafternoon sessions I’ve been working on cyanotype prints 💙 I’m still very much in the figuring-it-out phase, but I’m really enjoying seeing them slowly get better. One day I’ll have my own proper art room to make a mess in. For now I turn our bedroom into a workshop once a week and then spend the next few hours airing out the chemicals afterwards hahaha.

The house is also starting to feel properly furnished now (except for the lack stuff on the walls) 🏡 I’m kinda proud of how cozy it’s become considering we’ve spent almost no money on it. It’s a mixture of old university furniture, things family have given us, Facebook Marketplace finds and little antique store treasures.

Nothing really matches, but I think that’s what I love about it. Everything has some kind of story attached to it and it’s starting to feel very nesty and very us 🥺

We also had some neighbours over for dinner this week, our first proper visitors other than Bonnie and Ethan 🥹 I had to raid my collection of plant plates just to have enough things to set the table with, but it ended up looking rather eclectic and very cute 🌿🍽️ We made salată de vinete too, complete with Romanian grandma approved reused jars 😂

Streaming has been so much fun lately as well. Since Bonnie moved here we’ve all been spending sooo much more time together, and I feel like we’re becoming closer and closer as a little team 🫶🏻 We're also definitely the local weirdos now with our lil polycule. Bonnie is NOT discreet. lol

Oh, and I FINALLY planted some of the baby plants that have been propagating in glasses around my kitchen for waaaay too long 🌱 Tiny achievement but very satisfying.
