We’re similar in all the very unglamorous, down-to-earth ways that actually matter to me. Happy to be a bit dirty, wear the comfiest thing available, sit in the sand, climb over rocks and generally not be too precious about anything.

There’s probably a cultural element to it too. I swear South Africans are unusually comfortable with dirt, bare feet and clothes that have seen better days. 👣🌊
