🩵 August Highlights 🍷🌊🎨

August was all about bonding with Bonnie. It’s officially been a month since she moved in with us, and she’s settling in so nicely. We’ve been finding our rhythm together which currently looks like strategy meetings on Mondays and streams on Wednesdays and Saturdays ✨

Streaming has been so much fun. We love having Bonnie with us - she adds exactly the right amount of chaos and silliness. ❤️
.
We’ve also started having “crafternoons” together (Bonnie’s word, obviously), which have been ridiculously wholesome and fun. We might even stream one soon so we can craft with our favourite internet humans at the same time. 🎨🧚‍♀️

I’m feeling like a proper adult lately, mostly because I’ve spent an alarming amount of time talking to lawyers about my residency situation while moving between South Africa and Romania. ✈️
.
Sam and I are also loving being homeowners for the first time and stumbling our way through all the strange responsibilities that come with it. 🏡✨
.
The wine in South Africa is far too good and far too affordable, so naturally we’ve been indulging more often than usual in preparation for our trip to Romania next month 🍷
.
We finally took Zebbie, our 1970s Land Rover, to a professional to have her engine looked at. We’re hoping to start taking her on adventure days soon, provided she doesn’t cost us an arm, a leg, and several vital organs. 🚙🌿

We also enjoyed a few naked beach days, ate some incredible food, and generally soaked up the simple joy of having a friend around all the time. 🌊☀️

August felt wholesome, chaotic and wonderfully grown-up. We found new routines, made things with our hands, drank plenty of wine, laughed a lot, and settled into this new little chapter together. ❤️
