I love road signs. I love typography. I love all those tiny design choices that feel completely ordinary when you grow up with them, but suddenly become interesting when you’ve lived somewhere else for long enough. The colours, the fonts, the arrows, the little regional quirks. I have an unreasonable number of road sign photos on my camera roll. 😂

I grew up with these green road signs in South Africa, so after spending so many years abroad they give me this weird little pang of nostalgia every time I see them.

I think I might start collecting flash photos of the signs in every town we pass through on our lil adventures. Which is exactly the kind of unnecessary little project that makes me very happy. 📸💚
