The other night during a livestream, someone asked me why it's called the Dog Days of Summer. After I answered, I had one of those "ah-ha" moments.💭

Most people think it has something to do with dogs trying to survive the summer heat, but the real story goes back thousands of years and involves Sirius, the Dog Star.✨ Ancient civilizations noticed Sirius appearing around the hottest part of summer, and that's how we ended up with the phrase we still use today.
