🎙️ From Airwaves to Algorithms 🔢
Back in the day, I listened to a lot of radio stations, mostly local music, but some talk radio, and my favorite was the late Art Bell on Coast to Coast AM. He had some real gems, from Mr. Fidget to Open Line Fridays. Total off the cuff, no script, just in the moment. ✨
For the past decade or so I’ve been more into podcasts, but listening to the radio in real time feels like a long gone era. Sometimes there were re-runs, but if you missed it, that was it - was all about being in the moment.
Now we're in the age of listening to anything at any time, and part of me feels like the magic’s gone. And taking it one step further… we've even got AI podcasts. I can't help but wonder - are we gaining something with all this access, or losing the raw spark that made live radio so special?
And on that note, if you did listen to the radio, what was your favorite, and do you have any memorable episodes?
