JoCat Paints Minis

hey all, apologies for the lack of mini paintings for the past few days, been quite busy with a lot of other responsibilities so thank you for the patience. As compensation, you'll be getting a lot of money shots for free. in the meantime here's an update on the frigid battalion, nearly complete!

finally took the leap of faith and added some other colors to the battalion, heavily inspired by a similar paint scheme I found on reddit not sure what color to make the lasguns yet, vote what color you think would look best or make suggestions in the comments!

trying out a new wash method with oil paint + mineral spirits and it makes such a good thin wash that runs right into the cracks and crevices it even managed to get these cadians tiny helmet aquilas pretty well! feeling a lot better about them now

sorry for no posts in a while, been busy finally put a few more coats of white on the cadians. they're probably ready for the other colors now!

white base + weathering on the sentinel pretty much done, as well as most of the metalics. gonna be moving onto the finer details as well as the pilot some time soon

played my first game of 40k! pit my 1000 point guard against a group of nergle daemons had a big stalemate fight between my tanks and some mounted units, but it was still super fun and I can't wait to play more!

Added details to the leman russes, got some weathering chipped paint look going. looks good for now, but will be going in to fix up parts where I feel it's a bit overwhelming

started the base coats for a regiment of snow cadians! don't know what to call them yet but the work in progress name is frigid battalion

spending the birthday painting minis at my first game store so I'll have plenty to show off soon!

Leman Russ very minorly kit bashed, primed, and ready to be painted

also just a friendly reminder that I'll be streaming putting the leman russ together tonight at 8pm Central time! (18 hours after this post)

maid dress came in, thank you for sending it!!

black templar money shot gonna be absent for the next couple of days while I prep the station for stream so apologies for no additional marines for a bit, but to make up for it the next monryshot will be free :D

just in case the tank assembly goes quicker than expected and/or we reach a stretch goal to do more on stream, I got a few more minis primed and ready to paint. which one would you wanna see on stream?

alrighty all, the tank assembly stream will be this Friday the 26th at 8pm CST!

alright, I'll do a stream assembling the Leman russ tank this week. it'd likely be in the evening/night america timezones, what day would you guys wanna watch?

update on the black templar: finished the white, freehand their logo, and added a hint of red to break up the monochrome a bit. definitely a bit messy but I'll try to clean it up a bit later!

so somebody bought me a leman russ and it arrived today, how would you guys feel about an OF stream of me assembling + painting it? I normally would do it on twitch but I'm still not ready to be in the mainstream public eye again yet

got only a few intercessors left in the set, what chapter would you wanna see next? if not listed, comment below!

starting the Black Templar today! went ahead and started the secondary color since I felt just the plain black mini by itself was boring to look at

as thanks for the patience, and sorry for the delay, this moneyshot will be on the house! Space Wolf with added suggestions thanks to you all

got a bit carried away and added a bunch of details and stuff to the space wolf. I THINK it's finished but something feels missing, any suggestions?

hot furry turns bright red after second session with catboy

started a space wolf with the dry brush method, really came out looking nice!

Bl00d Angel Moneyshot was happy with this one but for some reason I feel like I sorta fumbled it towards the end oh well, will come with practice!

put a few more details on the angel, just a few more and they'll be ready for a proper shoot!

So now that the salamander is finished and I'm working on the angel, what chapter next? also if you have any you'd like to see suggest them and they may end up in the next poll!

just got this spinning display so ill start doing moneyshots, starting with the Salamander :3

red hottie gets hammered hard with two thicc paints

starting bl00d angel, trying the dry brush method honestly I really tried to come up with a raunchy title but couldn't come up with anything 😅

I mentioned my next full piece would be paid, but to make up for the delays this one will be free too as thanks for your patience next up, blod angel 😇

as a special thanks for your patience, here's a bonus Green sub gets shady in a dark room

got a new paint room, finally got to coat this salamander in another thin layer and then we fucked

while you patiently wait for the salamander, I painted this thicc side piece with a thicc coat of blue, still wet from the session

hey fans! sorry I know I JUST started but due to some IRL stuff you'll have to go a couple days without the salamander progress, but once things are all settled, you're gonna get the green lad you deserve, and to make up for it the final version of it will also be free

amateur dragon fucker gets coverd in a thin wet coat

just finished off the Redhead and will move on to the salamander tomorrow heads up, I plan to charge for finished pics in the future (WIPs will remain free) consider this one your free trial :3c

thanks for all the new follows today! as thanks, heres a bonus: Hot Redhead left with scratch marks after intense shoot

So the redhead wasn't intended to be a white scar, but I can do one if people really want! In fact, I'll poll you guys what chapter you'd like to see me try next after I finish this current boi

Hot Redhead still wet after fun night with catboy PART 1
