UPDATES! YouTube, upcoming AMA, new Shop feature
Hi everyone! Hope you all are doing well!
It has been an eventful week here in Alex-land... As most of you have heard by now, Youtube has demonetized my F4M channel and removed the two most recent new releases ('werewolf girlfriend needs your touch' and 'soft rainy cuddles with mommy girlfriend').
That resulted in a community guidelines strike which means I have been blocked from any YouTube activity until this coming Wednesday. Obviously, that's not good! I was able to transition from my full time job to making audios full-time thanks to all of your support, but losing monetization on YouTube is a pretty big blow.
In order to not risk losing my channel (especially before I reach 100k subscribers... ), I will likely not be posting there AT ALL until the strike is removed from my account on July 7. I WILL continue posting on my F4F YouTube channel, however I do expect that account to be demonetized at some point as well.
So, what does that mean for you?
—If you're paid Patreon subscriber here reading this, then... nothing! You're already here and that's great. Nothing will change for current Patreon subscribers.
—If you're a free member who has just started a free trial or have not subscribed, no new releases will be posted on YouTube until July. That means each week's Wednesday and Thursday YouTube releases will ONLY be posted here on Patreon and on my official Alex Talks ASMR subreddit.
Which leads me to...
I now have an official subreddit! If you're a frequent redditor, I would appreciate you joining and popping by once in awhile. All the content will be the same there as it is here.
To celebrate, I'll be hosting an official AMA on Thursday April 16 at 3:30 PM CST! Come join and ask me silly (but appropriate!) questions :3
Lastly... you may have noticed a new feature on our Patreon page: the Shop! After TWO FREAKING YEARS, Patreon has finally rolled out the digital shop feature to most NSFW creators.
With this feature, I can now sell individual audios! So, if there's an audio your tier does not give you access to, you will be able to purchase access.
OKAY, I think that's everything I have to say.

after some time away i return to this post with a question, did you quit making the free "youtube" audios for the time being? it seems i cant find them here on patreon, or they are locked behind a subscription. i hoped they would just be free tier as that is what i understood from your post.
They're only free if they're completely SFW and the last few weekly F4M/F4F audios I've done have been NSFW, so those will not be free
YouTube really picks and chooses who to crack down and enforce the rules on, and more often than not, it’s the creators who’ve done something minor, or nothing wrong at all. You have my deepest condolences Alex, thank you for everything you do, and try to keep your head up.❤️
Every social media is a complete mess nowadays. YouTube is a major part of it. And TikTok makes it even worse. Twitter is the worst offender though. Sorry you have to experience this huge setback. Even after following YouTube’s guidelines.

That is some bullshit on YouTube part. Atleast the AMA reddit sounds promising and might help lift the mood.

I can only hope youtube will drop this odd fixation to your videos (and other asmr channels out there), it's an awful system that doesn't follow their own rules properly. But I am excited for what's to come with your content and the reddit AMA sounds fun
