I love witnessing the moment a bunch of players realise that when a GM says through an NPC "move!" that they very much should move

Too many incredible one liners in this episode, my fucking god. Too strong. Too good

God the part where XLZL stores a sad song about not knowing your friends was such a gut punch I’m so fucking obsessed with this robot boy and idk I get a little bit of silksong vibes from the septumal choir the other Orinna that appeared also give me chills defo my favourite musical sections are all related to XLZL scenes which thematically makes a lot of sense and is a great choice for a character being played in this section. Did Brennan purposefully think of this? I might ask that cause I’m curious

I love how every episode of this feels like I’m having a great time in the middle of it but I’m just SWIMMING in stress at the end 🤣

I feel like we’re gonna get a bunch of cute little comments of the WBN crew alluding to Aabria’s pregnancy, like this was probably recorded after Aabria told her friends but before she announced publicly Like Chee’s “I’m drinking for two now” and Aabria’s laugh and it’s just so funny and heartwarming and lovely!!! 🥰

I caught that too! Truly such a cute moment!

Leave it to Brennan to make "robot seeking information from spaceship" a beautiful spiritual love story.

Watching Brennan talk about wanting all the experiences including falling in love and going, the robot was a weird choice for that vs listening and going "oh. K". Z's "ehh" when Chee asked if the authorities would listen to him made me cackle! I am so delighted with the whole team dynamic and Aabria's world! I'm so loving this. I know there's going to be heartbreak and pain later but right now it's just a weird buddy road trip and nothing hurts!

I like how Brennan’s character in this episode is like the opposite of Murderbot. Almost like if XZ-ZL is like a combination of Poiriot and Sherlock Holmes (and House).

How do these episodes feel so short?! They aren't, actually, but I suppose time flies while you're having fun. I'm really enjoying how blind the PCs feel to the big picture of what is happening so far. It's quite realistic to have stuff going down that you are not well-informed about, then pick up on things later as you get more data and start to piece together the timeline, motives, and even just who is involved and who isn't. It has me nostalgic for early days in Umora when we were still learning what the heck was going on with witches, spirits, Port Talon, the Citadel, etc. - it'll be exciting to re-listen once the arc is done and discover what was hiding in plain sight all along!

Spoilers I love how hyper competent Ayasa is as an assassin/security personnel(?), but the moment she has in interact with other people, it’s like, “damn, I see why Chee’s the face/figurehead”

All the talk of mudslides plus Chee's comment brought this song to my mind: https://youtu.be/HgW9iFAQIRo?si=HvIoDCEnlE9IdInu

Loving Lou's character just getting drinks and chilling while everyone is investigating the mystery

XL-ZL talking to Kenner was reminding me of everything I love about murderbot talking to ART (with sort of equal-but-opposite vibes, they were way more friendly 😂) and now I'm just trying to remember if anyone on the pod has talked about reading Murderbot before. Also loved getting another Eirynna name in ON-TA 👀

Ayasa is hilarious and omfg the back-and-forth with Chee is so goddamn funny

I can see how that would be hilarious to some folks but honestly I just felt triggered. 😬😂

Man... XL-ZL has the best moments in the show. I love him SO much, he just Fucks around in all senses of the word and it's absolutely delightful. Oh, to be a sentient mechanical angel

The ship is talking to XL-ZL and it's tripping my Farscape switch 😮‍💨. Everyone on that show was so hot (except the little muppet, bless him). Anyway, carry on, I'm just going to go do some math puzzles in my head for a minute...

Nesting my edits below my initial comment in case they are loooong: Oh! I thought that was Chee's partner in the first episode but it is a best friend. edit: Oh, I don't think this equals mole at all. I think this equals someone informing Chee about the mole. This is the killer who left the message. edit2: see! edit3: Ayasa has the exact personality of my middle sister. I adore her goofy ass. You can't let brilliant people get bored, y'all. edit4: I think(/hope) it's gonna be a flashbang type situation where they're just trying to recover Z, but it miiiiiiiight be the cops about the ship if they were able to get access to the ship's info. Now, for speculation: I liked finding out that the choirs have ranks and that XL-ZL is allowed to pull rank. That's nice texture for the Eirynna (spelling?). I am also starting to think his designation is like a red cross/doctors without borders vibe--he seems to accept his destruction in service of others pretty freely, and he has an ability to live in the fullness of a moment that people trained in crisis aid have. Obviously he's a robot, but I'm just relating as I can. I would bet that he's lost every synth fight on purpose, for example (he's also not tooled for them, but given his repeated choice not to arm himself on the ship, I think he would not choose to be tooled that way). I'm so glad it was Ayasa with the message. It was exactly what I was hoping for (because I think Chee would hide forever if we don't have someone who deeply knows them to drag their background out). This also speaks to Aabria's masterful way of letting friction provide exposition. I don't think anyone does it like her. I'm excited to see what tension Ayasa's decisions bring to Chee and Z's dynamic (I really want to call them as a duo Cheezus and I'm fighting it so hard). Ayasa was trying to help Chee, but she made Z's life harder. This will also be fun for us if XL-ZL gets caught in the middle of a mutual distrust vibe (although I suspect he'd absolutely love the complexity of that). Super fun vibe, 10/10, also the intro synth music slaps and I dance to it every time. And did I catch an homage to the star trek theme toward the end of the episode somewhere? I thought I did. Either way, I liked it.
