when i listened to this moment for the first time maybe 10-20 mins ago my eye went bug-eyed and i started slapping my leg like WOAH !!!!!

Suvi should be named the Wizard Skeleton-key the way she works as Steel's universal all-access backstage pass!
And this, friends, is why you don't pivot from your original story just because fans were guessing it! It isn't about some blindsiding TWIST, it's about how you get there, and DAMN did it get there. Flawless execution.
If there aren't enough hints to start making correct guesses before the very end, I'm losing interest in the story.
This is like realizing your mom is actually a serial killer who murdered your real parents & then decided to make you a pet project.

Steel told Suvi to come here to get into this secret library space so she could access it herself and potentially kill Suvi and get at whatever was in here. Ready for this bitch to die.

The rules Gremlin in my head is running through how many levels of exhaustion Steel currently has, and wondering what spells Suvi could cast to get out of there. Does she have Expeditious Retreat?
Yes, she might take at least an attack of opportunity, which given this is Steel could be lethal, but at 3 or 4 levels of exhaustion, Steel is swinging with massive penalties and at disadvantage.
I feel very justified in my suspensions of Steel early on. I was pretty sure she betrayed her parents and made a deal for her own life and family, and Suvi's to the court of whispers during the Citadel Arc. I think it was the moment we learned her dad freed spirits, it clicked into place. But As soon as we met Yoren (sp?) in the cave it confirmed my that I knew what she did. I have been eagerly awaiting for this confrontation every episode, knowing it was coming since then.

I happenstance-ily started listening to the Children’s Adventure recently, and um in episode 8 and Steel showed up, and then I WATCHED THIS AND NOW EVERYTHING IS DIFFERENT!
It's funny. When I listened to that episode of the children's adventure, over two years ago, this is exactly what I thought had happened. My gut feeling was that Steel cause Soft and Stone's deaths.

I just want to say, Iv had steels number from the childrens adventure. Js steels story painted sky's parents as heros oh the citadel. but then he kept learning that soft and stone bucked again the citadela every step. Also the line in chapter 2 were steel was like he would kill you as you are now. Sooooooo okay the one person in your story who could give suvy the other side of what happened.
Right, like we know steel is bad and definitely had a part in suvis parents death (if not did the killing herself) we have known that from the jump. But SENDING SUVI to KILL WREN AND CURSE AMI!!!! That's crazzzyyy

I don't know if I've ever been more excited for a Fireside episode than an actual story episode before. But I appreciate feeling SO VINDICATED at my suspicions that started in Arc 1. (My pets did not appreciate how loudly I voiced my appreciation lol)

Someone wondered the same thing on Tumblr and Aabria gave a very long, detailed response. Basically, Suvi is a tactician who has already shown how she can win unwinnable fights. And while her story is tragic, it is not a tragedy. Sooooo I'm excited to see how she tacticians herself out of this!

I just wanna know how Steel knew where she was, covered in non-detection
potentially something as simple as just being able to track Task, since it was initially a citadel construct. either way, brennan is arguably the best in the biz at catching small actions or lack thereof and using them for narrative beats later on. or maybe Steel just checks the hideout from time to time while Suvi isn't in line of sight.
Love this so much but also fuck this shit my heart can't take it.
I felt so vindicated by the end of the episode. Since Steel went to pick Suvi up from Grandmother Ren's cottage at the end of the children's adventure my instincts told me she had betrayed Soft and Stone and lead to their deaths. To finally find out I was right over two years later made me so giddy.
I have been listening back to the children's adventure, and the moment where Suvi is like "what happened? Please tell the truth." And then STEEL GIVES THIS VAGUE AS FUCK ANSWER THAT CONTAINS NO ACTUAL INFORMATION

I guess it’s mostly a couple illustrations with some pan effects rather than a full animation with moving figures, so that probably made it a little quicker to produce!
