Stop Giving Free Access 🩷

Today’s reminder: attention is not the same as support. A lot of girls get discouraged because people are watching them, liking their posts, viewing their stories, asking questions, complimenting them or acting interested but they’re still not buying, subscribing, booking, tipping or actually supporting and I want you to understand something: That does not always mean you’re doing something wrong. Sometimes it means you’re giving too much access to people who enjoy watching you, but have no real intention of supporting you. This is why boundaries matter when you’re building anything online. Whether you’re promoting content, selling a service, growing a page, building a brand, running a group or trying to turn your platform into income, you have to learn the difference between attention and action. Attention looks like:

“I love your page.”

“You’re so pretty.”

“I’m interested.”

“How does this work?”

“I might buy later.”

“I’ve been watching you for a while.”

Action looks like:

A payment.

A subscription.

A booking.

A tip.

A share.

A purchase.

A real commitment.

And I’m not saying ignore everyone or treat people badly. I’m saying stop giving your best energy to people who only want free access to you. Your time has value. Your advice has value. Your content has value. Your creativity has value. Your presence has value. You can be kind and still have boundaries. You can be helpful and still not give everything away for free. You can be sweet and still require people to support you properly.Because building online already takes so much out of you. You’re creating, posting, learning, promoting, showing up, dealing with slow days, comparing yourself, trying again and still believing in yourself even when it feels quiet. So don’t let watchers make you feel like you’re failing. Watchers are not always buyers. Compliments are not always support. Interest is not always intention. Today, start paying attention to who actually moves, not just who talks. Protect your energy. Protect your confidence. Protect your business. The goal is not to be available to everybody. The goal is to build something that attracts the right people and teaches them that access to you is valuable. 💸🩷✨
