[Release] A Simple Fishing World!
The world is now out and fully functional!

I think it hit like 1.5k players at one point! That's honestly crazy! I never expected it to get that much love from people!
But the crashing/freezing issue was a bit disappointing to me. I can't believe I never noticed it until it went live. And it was particularly nasty to figure out where it came from. I had to stop searching and just spend the entire week just rewriting and setting the project up again. Thankfully that helped fix it! No more crashes or freezing!
For the future, I will first fix any remaining smaller issues and add more convenience options, for example people who only can use one hand. I also have some content updates in mind. Either a few new fishes or more ways to progress! Maybe VRChat will release saving of data at that poitn, so you can also keep progress and highscores when rejoining! That update will be after all the Halloween stuff though.
For now, I'll participate in the Spookality 2024 event that VRChat is hosting. I have a fun idea I always wanted to try that also fits the criteria very well. It will be a small PvP mini game where some players become monsters that hunt the others. I'm not sure if it will be good, but competitions like these are always a good excuse to try out a new concept.
Oh, and I have not forgotton about the Prompt or Die Halloween update. I'll get to it this week, at most start of next week!
Thought I should at least do an update here, which I forgot due to being busy during the release. Honetly, I said in my last post I would be working on a Hot Potato world. And I did! But then I did a playtest with my VRchat group and it opened my eyes, a little. The mechanics weren't that great yet and the map was like 20% finished, but people were already having fun. It made me think about my fishing world. I thought to myself, why not just release it now? Just put in some time to finish it up and make it playable! So I did that. Lo and behold, people loved it even though it's far from what I wanted to do with it initially. Anyways, I'm oversharing like usual but I like putting in some context to what I do.

Simple fishing is a lot of fun. But can we please get back some sunshine, like it was when I first discovered it? People are complaining about it being dark so long. We need daytime fishing.
Have you tried the nighttime slider in the settings? Also, which season was your favorite, just curious.

yeah, I've been trying to catch my last super rare for two months now and I can't even catch one that's over 287 points!??? but I'll keep trying. I'm almost at 2 million. lol no life
I lovee this world i play it all the time! you should add some new fish like a puffer fish and a sea turtle those would bee cool
How can I catch a fish with a higher score? Is there any trick to this? Or is it entirely a matter of probability? But this seems to be related to rank? , The higher the level, the easier it is to catch fish with super high scores, such as some fish with a score of around 300, please be sure to reply to this question, thank you, the game map you made is very interesting
I'm glad you're enjoying! It's just probability, but there are a few things that increases it. For example, when you catch 100% of the Basic fish you get 2x probability for the Uncommon fish etc. So if you 100% Rare fish you get 2x on Super Rare. Or you can wait for the Circle that increase the rarity as well. And I'm about to add Bait that will increase SR chance too.

Thanks! I don't plan on upping the cap at the moment. The XP is supposed to be a measure for people who want to grind already. I might add different systems on the side though, we will see.

So I read all the tiers. I don't see any offering the sparkling blue fishing pole .. Is it something I purchased separately? Cause I dont mind doing that either. I just love the pole. I feel stupid cause I don't know what. omegle means. lol
