"Amanda's"
There were three failed attempts to produce an American version of "Fawlty Towers." This episode, we look at the second of the three.
It's "Amanda's" starring Beatrice Arthur.

It doesn't load up. I get this link instead "https://www.patreon.com/posts/amandas-67672226?utm_medium=clipboard_copy&utm_source=copy_to_clipboard&utm_campaign=postshare"
Producer: "Yes, Mr Cleese, everything is proceeding perfectly. We just made one minor change." Cleese: "And what was that?" Producer: "We removed Fawlty." Cleese: "WUT?!"
Thank you! This was, as always, some amazing content. :).
I can't get this to play, it just gives me a weird vimeo link instead.
me too. I think Amanda's was rerun on A&E but I kept waiting for Vivian or Rose to come in and exchange bon mots.
When I first saw Amanda's in the early 80s I thought it was going to be a smash hit. How wrong I was. Condo was even worse, a tired combination of All in the Family and The Jeffersons.
As always- thanks! thanks to a wonderful person, i did get to see some of the unaired episodes. In general- amanda’s wasn’t…that bad. there’s some good zingers, and bea arthur is a delight. But it was all, all wrong.
