Gek News Week 4

One vote for Mckay

5:39 The Jackbox stream was fun lmao, need more stuff like that imo(look at me chatting about diddling lmaooo)

for doing a fair amount of kpop and adjacent stuff, im surprised how few groups//artists youve done... gotta get some new names in there!

First and Foremost, Super Excited for the Kpop Channel! Cannot wait! Also, hint hint: BTS is going to be in Vegas in May just an FYI. Also, my sister and I will be going to worlds for League this year. Maybe we might peep you guys! Would be great to meet Celebs in person lol.

I wanna go to korea as well stop making me jealousss

Might go against comment etiquette, but here are some live-action recommendations: SAS: Rogue Heroes, same creator as Peaky Blinders (which I think y'all have watched and liked); Narcos, has Pedro Pascal, which I know y'all like (especially Carter) from your GoT vids; Westworld, insanely good first season with plot twists etc. that would make for interesting end of episode discussions; Vikings, seen this one recommend by others so no need to elaborate.

The trailer for the new Dune movie is out and it looks amazing !!!

Love all the geks but Carter and McKay are special hehe Carter brings emotions and a point of view to reactions that I really really appreciate. McKay is just a real one. He’s got the Best Chainsaw man take so he’s number 1 in my heart haha

All geks are great. McKay is the funniest (besides brig) and won’t sugar coat his feelings. Cannon really brings out that emotion the most in reactions and I appreciate Carter’s takes and analysis of shows. I like how Jack picks up and questions things a lot, and he’s the one piece guy lol so that’s always a plus.

Comment of the week is by Mia “Macky actual brought the flannel back🙀 a man of the people.”

Let’s go Jack! Giving Castlevania a shoutout! That was also my moment of the week!

geks pre-save arirang on spotify and apple music!!🔥

anya's our biggest fighterr🤝🤝💜💜💜💜💜

kpop channel, let's goooo

RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA ARIRANG VIDEO CONFIRMED THIS IS THE BEST DAY OF MY LIFEEEEEEE

All the geks are my favourites BUT if I had to choose it would be McKay I like how he’s a little off centre, he’s got wabi sabi

I am so happy you guys are enjoying tangerine 🍊(I haven’t watched your reactions yet I am waiting until you guys get to about episode 14 so I can binge watch the reactions 😅) There’s only ONE show I will ever recommend to you guys. And that’s Twinkling Watermelon ✨🍉 The day it’s on a streaming platform (in the US) I will be spamming. (Unless you guys watch it on Viki Rakuten, which is kinda like the kdrama equivalent of crunchyroll) I even made an acrostic poem on why you guys should watch Twinkling Watermelon 💀😭😭😅

I never usually comment BUT the fact that you guys are making a kpop channel and especially will be reacting to BTS’ new album is amazing!! As a BTS fan of over 10 years, this is great news and I am looking forward to the Kpop channel. I know there’s a lot of skeptics about the Kpop channel and especially how Kpop fans will be, but honestly if you can handle anime fans you’ll be fine ( and I mean that in the nicest way possible 😅) And shoutout to Anya and Betsy. They are the real ones!! I have seen them comment on many patreon and live stream videos, they are the backbone of the kdrama and kpop community on the geks patreon. All the love to them 💜💜💜

5:40 😭😭😭

My favorite Gek has got to be

I see Kpop I pass. no ty

Just a little heads up, GEKS 💜 If you’re reacting to K-pop content, just keep in mind that fans can be very passionate. There’s a lot of love in these communities, but sometimes that passion can come across a little intense too. At the end of the day, just be 100% authentic to yourselves. If you like something, that’s great. If you don’t, that’s okay too. Your reactions are what make your content yours. Just remember that some viewers may take things personally because they care deeply about their favorite artists. So stay mindful, but don’t let any negativity discourage you. Keep doing you. We enjoy watching you for a reason 🤍

Guys you have to check out TOPs solo album! You guys already know him as thanos from squid games.

For kpop channel my serious recommendation would be don't get into to many groups at a time or if you are going to do multiple groups have a very strict schedule you follow, no hate towards this channel but Playbackboyz do kpop reactions and they don't have a schedule or limitations to how many groups they do and so they get a lot of backlash for it. I am not saying their followers are in the right when they complain constantly but yeah it's brutal. Also Specify at the start of it all if you are going to or not going to do anything other than MV and practice videos because kpop groups have a lottttt of variety content which fans would want you to react to. Also another suggestion start with the third gen groups if you can, not saying that the older groups or even the newer groups haven't achieved a lot of sucess but 3rd gen kpop is just very close to my heart they really helped me after my dad passed away all of their contents and specially music helped me move on. So just as a personal recommendation go with SEVENTEEN, TWICE & BTS.

OMG FINALLYYYYY

will the kpop channel potentially hurt the production of anime content...? (less time for potential binges/extra episodes or things like that)?

An actual kpop channel? Aigooo

hopefully dr stone one day you guys would love it

Ayyy fun updates! Excited for your kpop channel! It’s gonna be interesting as the rest of the comments said cause kpop fans truly are…something let’s just say that 😭😂 my suggestions: have fun, don’t take the weird fan comments seriously and hopefully yall find groups or music you truly enjoy!

for the kpop channel i would recommend making playlists for separate groups so fans dont get upset… and for bts tbh their music is pretty peak so i would just listen to their music/react to the mvs chronologically bc itll help you understand the lore more. theirs a youtube vid called intro to bts for non kpop fans by boracity magazine that i think will be a good intro and rise of bangtan is also a series that will let you understand more of what your getting into regarding bts

BTS has a variety show called run BTS and they played games with faker and the rest of the team it was so funny

McKay nation for life

oh, a time is about to be had--get ready, boys! <333

WHERE IS THE DEMONS SLAYERS

Seems like people don’t think we can handle the kpop scene…👀🤔WHERES THE FAITH

I think all the Gek's bring something to the table. Cannon and Carters reactions make me laugh the most because they both have such animated faces. Jack has some good reactions as well and I like when he and Cannon banter. I like McKays sarcasm and he will have funny reactions at times.

I think Cannon is the best "reactor" Carter the biggest critic McKay the funniest (I miss the little interactions him and brig used to have on the side lol) Jack as a one piece guy myself I just appreciate him

I can’t choose a favourite Gek, but Carter has the best takes and analyses 🤷‍♀️ I said what I said. All of your reactions are great though depending on the show or movie

Gek RANKING?! Not gonna lie, when I saw Cannon's face 😱 and Carter holding his head during the begining of the AOT 1.0 adventure... It got me hooked! I stayed for the twins' side eyes and snarky looks 😏😏. PS. We miss you Brig!

the mckay glaze is sickening in these comments and guess what, I’M PART OF IT! i’m not even american but mckay for president!!! (fr, these reactions wouldn’t be half as sadistic without you sir, we thank you for your service 🫡)

My studiogek biases are Eve and Bradlynn. We need more girls movie nights! You still got a lot of girl nights classics like Mean Girls, She's the Man, 10 Things I Hate About You, The House Bunny, 13 Going on 30, Legally Blonde, The Princess Diaries, Uptown Girls, A Cinderella Story, Hot Chicks, Bridemaids, etc. THERE ARE SOOOO MANY movies. This could be a whole series

what a chill outro, and Stak0 please never stop putting the loading noises and patrick memes 😭

I just realized we’re getting fan letter this week… holy peak

picking a favorite gek feels criminal, they’re a package deal

McKay’s ego is going to skyrocket after seeing how many fanboys and fangirls he has in this comment section 😭

Their plan is to create as many YouTube channels as possible

And sorry I forgot to mention it but my favorite gek moments right now is the Kpop channel announcement along with your Tangerine reactions. Your emotions are raw and relatable. The show is great at giving you realism and a lot of different emotions with every scene. It gives you perspective within every episode and every touching moment.

My favorite gek would have to be McKay. His sneaky smile and humor always gets me especially when he's cringing at Twilight with Bella's inner monologue. I swear peak comedy. I enjoy your mischevious side

I love all the geks but Mckay is just looking hot and can't help but my eyes goes to him more often🤭

Hahaha Cannon you know me well yes favorite moment is the GekPop announcement!! Before that though it's always yalls 🍊Tangerines reaction. The show is such a raw depiction of life and I'm happy yall are sharing that experience with us. I could see yall holding back, don't be shy and let the tears flow. Favorite Geks: Bradlynn, Eve, Mica and streams should count so yes Lou, Hudo, Fisch, & Robb :)

Kim's comment is wild how did I miss that 😭 use that as fuel and motivation Cannon prove everyone wrong. You too McKay!

Umm yall forgot to add another day of 🍊Tangerines on the schedule... "none of us had Tangerines" 🥀

HOLY SHIBAL A KPOP CHANNEL?!! I can't calm down Carter I'm screaming rn and I even burned myself with my coffee! Yall are the goats for always giving us more than what we asked for! The kpop community is a mix of passionate and toxic fans. Just block out all the noise and enjoy this new venture in a way that's convenient for yall. I would recommend focusing on one or two groups at a time to get a better feel of their discography (well it depends on yalls upload rate) or maybe do polls ahead of time idk do whatever works for yall. The Gek logo with the Korean flag is awesome btw yall should use it for the GekPop channel. I'm laughing so hard at all my comments (how dare you editor lol) I'm soo sorry Geks for being soo annoying and sorry Carter for always yelling at you in the streams 😅 but I'm glad yall felt the great disturbance in the force coming from yalls kpop community! Best channel eveerrr! ❤️

Favorite Gek moment is tangerine ep 4, how you were really immersed into it.🥹😍 Also when I have free time I like rewatching your reactions on YouTube, like in that comment you mentioned for engagement and review some comments there. For example in WLGYT reactions on YouTube I saw Korean comments and somehow it made me happy for you, when reading positive, excited comments and angry when reading not so good ones. I don't know, I just want the best for you and your channel. I have been your subscriber from ep 2 of Aot I think, since then you are my favorite reactors. I hope you get what I meant because English is my 3rd language.

Yea the whole zangetsu inner world thing was so random (in a good way) I never expected to ever see that interaction in a million years.

A gas station? yall keep surprising me lmao another location not on my bingo card I'm gonna have to get more creative with my guesses (yes I actually made a location sheet 🤓)

One thing that usually works well for k-pop reaction channels is focusing on one group at a time, because otherwise people will constantly ask you to react to everything. A lot of reactors start with one group (many begin with BTS or SKZ) and then branch out later once they’ve explored most of that group’s content.

am I the only one thinking having a kpop channel is not a good idea? I have been following you since Attack on titan first episode and I have been a fan of BTS and some kpop groups for over 10 years, and I just know that most of kpop is not for you, it is just a music industry, why have a separate channel just to check out some 4 minute songs. Unless you are really into dances and choreo or follow a group like a fan (check interviews, concerts, variety), just for music there is not enough worthy content for a channel. A lot of fandoms are toxic and immature. Having a few streams with a few songs and maybe checking big events like BTS comeback, this can be added into existing channels, no?

Small suggestion: instead of limiting the “moments of the week” segment to each of you picking just one thing, it might be fun if it was just a short segment where you guys can talk about whatever. Since you watch so much stuff, some things get left out. Like you didn’t get to talk about When Life Gives You Tangerines or Jujutsu Kaisen, which I know both had big moments last week. A quick little “yap session” segment where you can mention multiple things might flow better and let you guys share more thoughts!

Yess finally kpop channel, our time has come kpopers. I'll suggest to watch Kpop history in 20min on youtube by DKDKTV.

Naruto op reactions when

They should do a poll for the new kpop channel name, gekpop? StudiogeKpop? The BTS channel? That was all I had lol

I haven’t even watched but I have an idea and IM SUPER EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

I haven’t even watched but I have an idea and IM SUPER EXCITED!!!!!!!!!

OMFG

You guys def need to react to exo! They’re the vocal kings and just had a comeback last month 👑

Excited for more kpop content! I hope you guys don’t get overwhelmed 😭 also loving cannons fit

A separate K-pop channel? 🙀🙀🙀I’m excited, but at the same time I’m not sure it’s a good idea, because the K-pop community can be extremely toxic. Yes, the views will probably be great, but the cost of that… Well, I guess we’ll see! But deciding to start with a BTS comeback is the right move!

Never thought I’d be thrown back to my pledging days having to hold up a broken hoop for hours and have them dunk and shoot on me 😭

another peak Gek news !!! as a kpop stan and bts ult, i hope this goes well for the geks!!! It will get chaotic but looking forward to the geks adventuring into another one of my worlds, especially the bts reactions!! The album is called "ARIRANG" :)

Wow!! Gonna subscribe and support it🔥♥️ The Gek world is just therapy🫶🏻❤️‍🩹 Please more of these podcast episodes🤍

Favorite gek has to be either canon or carter, canon for reactions and carter for analysis and discussion, and it’s hilarious when they just smack each other randomly 😭 looks like it hurts

I know people don’t like comparing but idc it’s fun, I need to know which one you guys liked better csm movie or infinity castle 👀

Demon slayer will be up later today!

Is demon slayer posted?

Excited for the K-pop channel, I hope y’all listen to a lot of groups and all goes well😭

I would comment my favourite gek but I think you guys already know - FAVOURITE MOMENT WAS GETTING INTO THE JACKBOX GAME ON THE FIRST TRY EVEN THOUGH I ENDED UP COMING 4TH 😕

Oh my goodness what an amazing thing to wake up to hehe Ya'll had me locked in and I squealed so loud when I saw Kpop 👀 But I love Gek News in general. It's really cool to watch and learn about ya'lls highlights and favorite moments see the lovely comments of the week. And thanks for the honorable mention, McKay!! You're the goat. All of you are. So excited about the Kpop channel. I wish ya'll the best on it. It'll be interesting. I bet Anya is shaking in her boots! Yaay more Stray Kids and hope Aespa as well Enhypen. ATEEZ deserves another chance too. They have a lot of gems. Ya'll need to see their Pirate King and Treasure music video They're both legendary 👀❤🤗

Geks announcing a kpop channel just after Heeseung left Enhypen 💔 I hope y’all react to them but yeah it’s been a sad week for the fans

the movie will be up today. just chill guys

i love that most kpop related comments to the announcement of gekpop is tentative excitement. i’m hopeful the geks will survive the oncoming storm but i’m terrified too.

Loving the intro

Loved the Stray Kids reactions, can’t wait for more🫶🏻

Been really enjoying the Gek News! When are we gonna get a Gek Sports channel next?

im a kpop fan and im genuinely praying for you guys 😭😭😭😭 this could go really bad or really good

thank you for your service, Anya. You finally did it

R they rage baiting us with the DS movie delay 😭 or is this early April fools or what

kpop fans are a different breed lol just be prepared

Walked home while listening to News Week, got distracted, almost got hit by a car and Geks’ Infinity Castle reaction just flashed before my eyes… Anyway, WHERE IS IT?

if youre gonna do a kpop reaction, yall should start with IU since shes doing so well as Aesun in When Life Gives You Tangerines. you should also see her while doing her main job (singer) lol

YESSSSS (BTW I'm MochiMichin From Twitch - been lurking and begging for the BTS reaction) I definitely suggest attending one of their concerts in The States! Can't waittttt!

free us

Favorite gek moment was when Mckays nephew just randomly comes in at the most gruesome part of the video. The hands that went up to cover his eyes were veterans. I can’t even remember what reaction vid that was but the collective 👀 was just too funny

I think the best parts of these weekly updates are the gek lore drops.

Talking about absolute cinema last week and they don’t have a clue about what fate has been cooking😭😭😭 I need it

Completely unrelated but JOJO PART 7 COMING OUT IN 3 DAYS AND IM SO EXCITED

fabulous gek news, thanks

kiddos freaking out about the delayed demon slayer movie drop, they filmed this before the technical difficulties. they said new drop day is monday, it is still monday. CALM DOWN!

My favourite gek moment was you guys reacting to Zoro (OPLA) saying "So it's a girl whale" 😂 also my favourite geks are all the girlies we've had on the channel (this includes baby Lou and Mica) - they're all immediately placed into S-tier for my studio gek character ranking, oh and Jack goes into s-tier too lol

Omg a kpop channel would feed the masses 😭

i wish i watched all your content so i could have multiple gek moments of the week, alas—my favourite moment has to be watching mckay freak out over live action miss goldenweek. it’s been a while since i saw him that freaked out 😭😭😭

favourite Gek, honorable mention to my boy Brig

Anya your time has come

Cant believe I made it, thank you jack now I can finally go back to being a lurker🙏🏼🙏🏼

One of my ult groups are in complete turmoil and despair but studio gel comes to save us 🫡

i’m SO GASSED FOR OPLA EPISODES 6-8!!!!!!

gek does kpop??? anya, i think we won!!!! but the timing of starting a kpop channel when the kpop world is in shambles is so gek of them bruh. i’m excited, but if y’all react to enhypen any time soon…

Finally a kpop channel, people are gonna recommend a lot of stuff so be ready 🫩 it’s best if you guys do polls to limit options

Wait i think you guys would live the Run BTS dance practice, if you wanted to see like idk not all the mv flashy and fast transitions

If you guys WOULD like, there’s the bts comeback live on Netflix this Friday (5am your time though😭) it’s gonna be a huge event if you’d like to react to it! And then next week on the 27th there’s a documentary movie about them. My bad if someone’s already mentioned it you guys already💕

Favorite gek?… McKay 😏

Omg lowk i kinda want to know what kind of artists the geks listen then we could rec you groups/songs or comebacks

Gotta get that Juicy tier for the March Madness, even though whichever team I pick to win it all will find a way to throw in their first game

The geks probably don’t remember this but I actually met Jack and McKay with some friends a while back. But it was a little awkward….. We approached you guys with nothing but RESPECT. Jack was so sweet and willing. The big headed bihh (McKay) on the right had the craziest attitude. He was grasping onto Jack like someone was tryna snatch him. Relax. And bihh you weren’t even fitted. Like yk ur new show just came out, you’re trending. Don’t walk around Salt Lake looking this crazy. Trench coat buttoned to the TOP and these ballerina ass slippers. What is going on? Idk if he was coked out or what ???

Thanks for the update! Mckay you're my top 5 Gek!

Demon slayerrr whhhereeeeee😩

Wym bout time we see this post the movie will be up 🧢

I do not see the DS movie ?!

[Insert John Travolta lost gif] looking for the demon slayer movie post lol

gekpop

Help didnt even read the caption till i finished the vid but im lit so hyped, I was also here from the start of your og AOT reactions, I've watched all my fav shows with u: Sherlock, games of thrones, mha, death note so lowk if you guys react to BTS arirang and lit any of their albums I will lit experience you guys reacting to my fav group now🤣

Tangerines shout out 🍊 🍊 🍊 🍊 🍊

Hudo is best gek, he takes McKay’s money and can build with Lego’s lol. And y’all watching Bleach or Frieren is my fav right now!

Does anyone know if they'll be interested in going to an Anime con? 😂

a k-pop CHANNEL!?!? A whole new world has opened. IM READY

McKay is my fav gek ofc 😍 LEAST fav by far starts with a C 😒

I really need to catch up on JJK bro. I’ve been missing out on so much peak 😭 after Maki’s episode I fell behind

Me. I am my favourite Gek. 🙂‍↕️

I’m so excited to see what y’all think of demon slayer!!!!

My favourite moment this week was probably seeing you guys smiling and tearing up during last week’s Tangerines episode. This show is so different from anything we’ve seen you react to, so it’s really nice seeing that it’s impacting you guys so much.

kpop fans like sending death threats and doxxing people, they might be on par with league players

Favorite gek moments of the week are them just nerding out and I love it, thank you!

I love all the geks but my fav changes during reactions. And McKay is just hot 😭

I'm really liking these videos. Fav Gek moment was probably jackbox stream, pretty fun to watch. My favorite Gek is Jack's twin, Neal 😉

Hey guys! been a long time watcher and follower of the channel, since Aot eipsode 2 upload, love! the Gek news really the perfect way to cooldown after work, looking forward to more from you guys! #onepieceweekeveryweek! best regards from denmark!

give me some shinee and more girl groups reactions!

In the lives we got to pick the treats and see the treats in the next vid. Cannon picked a Fresca in the live, Carter got a box of lemonheads, Jack got Gardetto's, and Brig got a Yellow Monster Rehab. It was when y'all were finishing up season 4 of AOT

Yayy, kpop channel, scary but exciting. I would recommend Blackpink's Light up the sky documentary on Netflix, it's really nice introduction to kpop system💖

The Kim comment was generational

Holy crap it's the basketball gas station

breaking dawn pt 2 when?!?!

So ummm kpop channel, it’s gonna be wild for you Well… you guys will see…

Did I missed the Naruto Openingns reaction? I haven't heard of planning of it since 2 week news ago :(

Wait. A kpop channel! I need to process life! Hold! AHHHH

Where is twilight?

You guys should maybe react to a few more BTS songs before the new album. They’ve had so many eras, and it might make the comeback more exciting if you get a better sense of who they are first. Just a suggestion :)

Hudson is my favorite Gek

Since there’s only 2 more episodes of Frieren left, how abt we switch it up and start apothecary diaries… 👏😏 *rubbing hands like a mosquito*

my favorite moment of the week was mckay rage baiting one piece fans in the comments, my goat fr

although there is some good K-pop artists like akmu- exo - seventeen-red velvet -baby monster and some solo artist but the community is really bad like the fans really suck not to mention some of them idols really don’t know how to sing live and it shows that’s why you should react to killing voice instead it’s live and good introduction to a lot of groups- big mama is my fave and mamamo

ANYA GETTING CALLED OUT HELP

KPOP CHANNEL THATS FIREEE

We need end of the year Gek Awards. Best dressed gek Fit of the year Worst fit of the year Funniest comments Hottest take Rant of the year Rage bait of the year Etc. probably a lot more but that’s just what I had off the top of my head. It could be fun

Favourite gek?? All! It changes every reaction😂

my favorite gek is Bradlynn, my queen

....a kpop channel?? I would have never thought you would go that route hahahah just don't take some Fans too serious lmao it can gets wild and some take everything too deep lol 🙏 but i know you already saw a little peak to it hahaha

The movie might be loading and dropping soon or am I just delusional

I’m excited for them to listen to the new BTS album. I’m actually seeing them on tour next month and once I bought the tickets, I’ve been uneasy ever since😭

I live for Gek news icl

You guys should add little timers for each favorite moment for us who aren’t caught up with the moments yet and can just skip past

#Lou4Couch

Excited for Bleach! I still need to finish the last few episodes of JJK season 2. I haven't watched One Piece anime, but thinking of doing the live action. I have seen clips that look good.

You know the week was peak when even JJK doesnt make it into the top moments

Yes! 🎉 (But also, I would personally recommend to start with older BTS stuff)

Hopefully y’all start with BTS. And BTS is the concert you want to go to. Especially since it’s their comeback this week. It’s perfect to get into BTS now

you will see LOL jack

I need them to check out SHINee’s “Replay”.

happy weeeeek

This is a lie, where is demon slayer movieeeeeeeeeee
