Nightmare Dragon Lair

Hi everyone!

We've been excited to show you this scene. We worked on the designs for this for quite a while since we didn't really know exactly what the outside of the Nightmare Dragon Lair would look like!

We decided that for this horror based lair entrance that the exterior should feel looming, otherworldly and visceral. We wanted to create the impression that you were approaching one of the huge, gothic castles you'd expect to come across in games like Dark Souls or Elden Ring, but with the added distraction of pulsating, fleshy, organic traps adorning the pathway.

Hopefully your players truly feel like they're entering a nightmare realm when they see this! We also created some more normal variations too just in case your setting doesn't contain a nightmarish realm of doom!

Enjoy :)

This week, the preview music comes from our good friend Will Savino, aka Music d20! The track used is 'The Camp Clearwater Massacre'. I'm sure you'll agree that it feels suitably intense for the approach to the Nightmare Dragon's Lair!
