Honestly I didn't think about it before but in theory bat ponies are unable to sunbathing on the beach because hot sun just firing them.
And I suppose standard sun protection doesn't help at here^^
Or not? What do think about it?

Love the art, bat ponies are a vary interesting thought peice as to how they would work in pony society I've always had the idea that they just really get annoyed in bright areas. They can't see that well so their always squinting, their hearing isn't as sharp cause the temperature is warmer and the annoying brightness is distracting (which is how I feel they would mostly know what's happening around them is by sound) and depending on who you ask they either drink blood or the juice from fruit (which I prefer the later) But yeah moonbathing? Sounds right up there as potential solid lore (Also I agree with Blackjack I want to see this colored too)
Honestly I have always taken them as classic vampires. Don't know why, I didn't saw it in canon, but I thought they can't be under sun for long cuz sun is too aggressive for their skin. Also sun's rays prevent them from seeing normally because their eyes is too sensitive to sun. So yeah, I was sure this creatures prefer to live only in a dark part of day)

It depends exactly on how the sun affects them. Maybe they just need some really strong sunglasses. Maybe ponies just don't get tans.
I afraid most problem is skin. I think that sunlight is too aggressive for their skin. And of course I absolutely sure they will need for strong sunglasses cuz their eyes is too sensitive to sun)
Correction: what we see as moonlight is actually sunlight reflected back by the Moon's surface. So, technically, this batpony is still sunbathing. Also, she's very wise: no bugs, no burning Sun, no annoying people to share the beach with. Only bats that may suck your blood... XD
Huh, you right, technically this is so) And I agree with you second thought. I think this is a really nice reason to visit the beach at night) Moreover the water seems more warm in this part of day =)
