Journals of the Hunter # 30 :: The End ::

This is it! We're done with Journals of the Hunter... For now. I consider this to be the end of the first "season" of JoH. I have some ideas for where I would like to take the story in the future, but honestly I have no idea if I want to continue it or not. We'll see after Alfie is done.
I hope that you enjoyed it! I mostly started working on it to practice the new lineless style and well.. Practice it I did! I now feel pretty confident that I can use it for long form storytelling. For the first time in my life I am happy with how my art looks. Crazy feeling.
Now, onto Alfie!

This was such a a good wonderful series, and I loved it from start to finish. The art was just amazing.
Compare Dolly when she showed up in #4 to Dolly now; her resemblance to the Hunter has been getting closer and closer :) I'm sure it's FINE and NOT A PROBLEM :)
It's hard for me to imagine anyone not loving your art style, but I guess each of us is our own harshest critic. I would love to see this series continue, but I always enjoy everything you create. Thank you for showing us all your brilliant work.

This was one of my all time favorite stories you have made. I really love the world building.
This makes me happy on a lot of levels. Top spot is a tie between Dolly being so happy, and the ‘for now’.

Great ending! And I am so happy for you because of what you said about being happy with your art! I understand as an artist who is yet to find an style of their own, how hard it is to not fully "be there" with what you create. Anyway, congrats on the ending! You are great!

A lovely end to the story. Also excited to hear you are getting back to Alfie. Even more excited to hear you think you have found a new art style you are happy with. Hopefully you will be able to work through the rest of Alfie with no problems. I am curious if once you have finished Alfie we might go back to Midlife Crisis? I really want to get back to that story. I love it so much.
Can't wait for season 2, but I'm even more excited for more Alfie 😎

What a lovely ending and happy to see so many familiar faces like Victoria Frankenstein and her creation/lover/chef! This was such a fun series, hope to see The Hunter and pals again someday, great work!

I love how surprisingly wholesome this world can be at times, really sets it apart from most things that have a lovecraftian bent to them
