Reina, Finale — $20 Release

After many excruciating months of wait, the time has finally come. The finale of one of, if not THE most popular, the most requested, and certainly the absolute fan-favorite route is here, and it's glorious.

We don't want to pat our own backs, but it just might be one of the best content expansions we have ever released. In the span of many months we have been meticulously figuring out the best way to end this story, and, in our professional opinion, it might be it. The perfect balance of drama, cute awkwardness, and spice. Oh, so much spice!

But let's address the elephant in the room — the redesign. It was a point of contention for many, and we completely understand, but we also want to make it clear — it was a necessary evil. As our game grows larger, it gets harder and harder to hide behind the excuse of being a parody game, so we simply had to ensure that all of the money that you pledged, and all of the time we dedicated to this project won't be lost in vain in case we get slammed by a lawsuit. Sure, we might have a solid defense: Our game is transformative enough to call it a fair use, and it is free to play, apart of the early access our patrons get rewarded with, but the reality of the situation is, we have no means to deal with a multi-billion dollar corporation in the court. If we want this project to prosper, we have to make those small sacrifices.

We made sure to keep her new appearance as close as possible to the very recognizable original form, as well did our best at implementing all of the feedback you provided in the span of last few months, perfecting her updated design. On top of that, we didn't change anything in her story, keeping it as is, since it was already completely original to begin with, as well as avoided making any changes to her body form in the scenes that were already present. The only thing we changed in the content you unlock throughout her route — is the hairstyle, piercing and the makeup she uses.

Basically, the only significant change are her dialogue sprites and the name itself. That's it, nothing else.

In the future, we will do our absolute best to stay as close as possible to the designs you have already gotten used to, and make only small adjustments, that shouldn't impact the quality of your experience.

Getting back to the update itself.

Making her final update has turned into one of the biggest passion projects for our team, where we poured all of our heart and soul to ensure that the best girl gets the best ending. Though, calling it an "ending" might be a little disingenuous...

Who knows what other misadventures your beloved hacker has planned for the future?

But wait, there's more!

SITARA: THE BOOK OF PASSION — OUT NOW!

Our new original comic, centered around a shy librarian girl, Sitara, and her irresistible urges is finally here!

This comic is a precursor for her upcoming route, and a foundation upon which it will be built, exploring the most intimate details and uncovering every secret her closed-off persona might be hiding, and there is much to uncover. And, just a side note, you will be able to romance every character featured in this comic, including that sweet-sweet bun you've seen in previous teasers!

As per usual, we made sure to focus only on the things you might actually want to see, filling every page with as much spice as we can afford. No downtime, no unnecessary chatter, straight to the point, perfectly encapsulating the nature of her uncontrollable desires.

If you pledge $35, you will get an immediate access to the entirety of the comic, as well as the Reina's new update! The best all-in-one deal we have ever offered!

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have previously experienced problems, such as missing pictures and scenes in the gallery, error messages during your playthrough of one of the recent routes, then the problem is most likely in the save that you are using. We have fixed the majority those bugs, but after some testing, we realized that a couple of them might still persist if you use an existing save. If you stumble into any of the listed issues, the best solution would be to start a game from the scratch.

If you don't want to replay the entirety of the game, then just use an option to "skip to new content" when you start a game. It will put you right at the beginning of the latest update, with the majority of the content already unlocked. You can also use the Konami code in the main menu to unlock the gallery (works only on PC)

Great update, seems to leave a bit hanging for a potential "grand finale" of sorts for the game which I don't have a problem with. I was quite sad when it turned out you were having to change aspects of your designs from what was intended but I think from what I've seen you can make some great original ideas.

She doesn't look anything like Sombra anymore, like I get that the lawsuits a thing but like, it was the most requested thing not just cus of the plot but because its Sombra. This isnt it and I just cant. When the model changed initially, I was fine with it because it still felt like Sombra. This doesn't. I know theirs going to be people that disagree with me and that's fine but like, Pharah is my favorite character and it looks like thats the route thats going to be developed next, and if its not going to even be Pharah by the end, I just can't get behind it. I don't see the need to change stuff THIS drastically when you have games out their like Something Unlimited that literally just copy paste.

Pharah has already been updated. The design you've seen in the latest release (Zahera's Intro) is her final design. In regard to the changes: We've been posting the updates showing Reina's new look throughout few months, and we adjusted it multiple times according to the feedback. The design you were previously okay with is the same, that was implemented. The only thing that really changed - is her hair style, while all of her existing content still features the same body shape, the same facial features, and basically same everything, minus the hair. While it's true that there are still games that go with the bold approach when it comes to using characters from other IP's, we don't want to risk it. Our team now consist of 10 people, most of which are relying on this project as their main full-time job. Risking the possibility of a lawsuit for the sake of keeping the same hairstyle, while putting the jobs of many people we now call colleagues is not just irresponsible, but egotistical on our end. We understand the frustration, but we also have been doing our absolute best to be very transparent about the changes and always welcomed every piece of the feedback our community could have provided, and tried to make sure we use as much of it as we can. On top of all that, Sombra was probably the hardest character to redesign, since her original look is simply too recognizable, with a purple color that is the staple of hers, and many body augmentations. Trying to change all that, while keeping the appeal was a monumental task, and the result was doomed to be controversial from the start. You are free to dislike it, but we really hope it will grow on you in time. In the future, we will stay transparent when it comes to redesigns, but will also do all we can to limit the changes to the absolute minimum.
