Overhaul, MC Room — $2 Release // And a new patch!
Chat, it's actually real! The Overhaul Update is finally here!
After literal months of bashing our heads against the wall, fighting with the engine, optimizing, wading through old code, and then real life sickness, we made it. Our first, proper Overhaul Update is finished, and we can proudly say that it's the single biggest content expansion we’ve ever released. As the name suggests, it brings not only the first reworked location, but also a brand-new random event system, collectable trophies, tons of new interactions, post-route content for existing characters, and a ton of secrets for you to find!

If you would like to know more about this update, we suggest checking out the original post for the full breakdown. This release version also includes a hotfix we released earlier today. It should improve stability on Android devices, fix a few annoying issues with replays, lower the RAM usage, and more.
THIS UPDATE ADDS:
Overhaul of the MC's bedroom location. Both visually, and gameplay-wise.
Random Event system, alongside tons of possible random encounters in MC's new room.
New post-route content for Kamilah.
New post-route content for Sonya.
New post-route content for (drum roll) Reina.
New secrets to find.
Clyde is added as an interactive character.
Implemented Trophy system, allowing player to earn and display trophies for completing certain storylines.
Two third's of our game's code has been rewritten, because turns out updating locations with new systems is far more problematic than we thought.
Implemented a dynamic sprite lighting system. Doesn't change much for you, but makes our artists' lives hell of a lot easier.
NEW PATCH FIXES:
Further optimized our new rendering system.
Fixed crashes and freezes while exploring MC's room on Android devices.
Fixed scroll not working properly in choice menus during dialogues.
Fixed coloring of the text in choice menus during dialogues.
Fixed replays for the new content displaying as missing texture when viewed through the gallery.

Loving the new content, but I've seen what may be a bug and am having a (possible) problem with the Prof Z route. The bug? is that when in the MC's room (night, midnight) and I ciick "sleep, I'm offered another choice, for example "Do homework for money". Clicking that then goes to the next day. For the Prof Z route, I've gotten to the point where she's given up on the conference & MC is looking for a way to publish her paper on the internet. It is midnight, and I click "Sleep" and am then take to Prof Z in the hall outside the classroom. After brief dialog, return to room and click "Sleep" and again go to the same scene. Seems to be an endless loop. I'm believe this is in the latest version, on a Mac, HQ. Hope this is useful. Let me know if I can provide any added info.

Using savefiles from previous versions, i keep getting the whitescreen of code problem every so often, is there something i can do to fix that?
How old of a safe are you using? Is there an option to "Ignore" the error when it pops up?
its there a way to make the room events more common, ive gotten 3 in around 250 days

Sadly there is no way to install our game through appstore, so the only real option would be to try and play through ren'py emulator (using android apk), but there is really no guarantee it will work since it's more of a workaround.
around April you made a post about Reina getting a new design is that still planned?

Hey guys, in this update I've been having a considerable problem with Freja and Professor Zhou, especially Zhou now because whenever I try to continue her path the moment you need to do an activity in the weekend, it goes to the classroom and a quick chat with her, but then I can't progress from this point, not even doing any other activities on friday. What triggers this apparently is offering to help her with research online
I'm having issues with the update every time I wake up in the room on Tuesday the screen goes completely black and I can't do any kind of interactions (I'm on android)
Have some issues been fixed with this release? I’ve been having a problem where when I get to the MC’s room, the entire background turns white. Has that issue been fixed? I’m just asking cause I really want to play the updated version but bugs are making that difficult.
We are still working on a patch to cover most of the known issues, but it should be available within a day or two. Sorry for the wait!
