June Week 1 - Update

Hey,

Long time no talk, a full month actually. Before anyone wonders, unfortunately, there won't be a Version 0.26.5 release, and let me explain why.

TLDR; Not enough bug fixes or even accessible content to view for it to be worth having.

For those who didn't know or didn't read the first 2 lines of my previous update, I had a big move - like literally moving locations - in May. Because of that, I wasn't able to focus and take time to work on Sugar Service's usually content. The good news is that I don't have to do this again for a long while.

We did a bunch of behind-the-scenes planning stuff. We've designed and prepped the chapter 2 VIP clients, and have conceptualized chapter 3's characters aka the final chapter. That's right, this game actually has an ending in sight (cough cough).

With that being said, the prep stuff is mostly in word doc and art assets, which I'd like to be kept secret or a surprise for now, and not actually hard coded into the game yet. Our writer has been hard at work getting storylines created and dialogue written though still.

I knew there was no way I'd be able to do a lot substantially for the update in May and though I did our best in the early weeks, it soon became full steam on the moving process. I've finally moved into my new place, a lot of things still needs to be sorted out but most importantly, my work station is set back up again and I'm ready to work.

So no Version 0.26.5 release, mainly because there really isn't anything to update. Yeah, maybe a few minor bugs but I don't think that's worth confusing people into thinking there's a somewhat worthy update to play. Even if there was a lot of new things, they'd be inaccessible to you, the player and it'd be a larger file for no reason.

Anyway, thank you all for your understanding and especially those who can empathize with the mental and physical toll that a big move has on you.

We're back to our regularly scheduled content, Version 0.27 will be set to be released on the 3rd of July! Expect the usual stuff plus the planned and prepped content for future characters.
