Functional Historical Apothecary Cabinet

You know what this game needs? An easy way to purchase medicine and pet treats while living off-the-grid. Ergo, this cabinet.

How it works: Click on the glass doors and select "Search Apothecary Cabinet". Your Sim will walk over to peruse the contents, and then a purchase picker dialogue will pop up with all the available options. (Sims who have the Vet skill or who are in the Doctor or Naturopath career will get a discount).

Which remedies are available?: It depends on which packs you have installed. If you have Get to Work, you can buy generic medicine. If you have Cats & Dogs, you'll have access to all of the vending machine pet treats, and my My First Pet Stuff adds rabid rodent fever serum. Players with Enchanted by Nature can buy the apothecary ailment cures (but not the elixirs). As long as you have at least ONE of aforementioned packs, you can use the mod.

Stats:
♢ Requires one or more of the following: Get to Work, Cats & Dogs, My First Pet Stuff, Enchanted by Nature
♢ 8 Swatches
♢ §350. Find it by searching Apothecary
♢ Optional: I recommend downloading this Medicine Bottle Override by @lunamothsims

Note: Like any object with custom tuning, this cabinet might break after an update! Always keep these sorts of items in a separate folder, so that if you start getting errors, the likely culprits are all in one place.

Update 3/9/2025: Removed the deco slots because I was sick of plates getting stuck up there. Changed the visibility settings so that you can see the cabinet even when walls are hidden.
Update 7/14/2026: I condensed the mod into a single version. You no longer need to download pack-specific iterations.
