Massive CAS Update
ALL CAS cc has been updated! Changes include: better edge splitting for certain meshes, new preview images, plus improved Region Maps to ensure compatibility with accessories and the new layers system. I also removed the HSY rarity tags and checked the box that makes clothing display properly for fairies.

Thank you for being so organized and clear about when and where updated things are! After updating the lotus flower headwear, I got to thinking about those ancient Egyptian headwear candle thingies, because I recalled an illustration of women attending a funeral and passing out lotuses, and they were putting the flowers like, into the headwear candles? stabbed through them, I think? It was cute. I thought I'd mention the suggestion/request of having them in Sims 4. Lotuses in candle hats, and sans lotus, too, maybe?
I actually started making the 'perfume cones' (one interpretation), but gave up because of a display issue in game. Maybe I should take another crack at it
Well, I guess that’s it for me! Since I’ve been dealing with some major health issues, I had put off downloading your superb creations; but now that you’ve updated your files, they won’t work with my version of the game—because I absolutely hate their new updates ever since the Marketplace was introduced! Since I play using older CC that still works with the specific version I currently have, I’m refusing to install any of the game’s recent updates. I’m so bummed out; I really wish you had at least left the old files up on MTS!! Oh well—too bad for me. I guess I’ll just go play with some other medieval CC from different creators instead.
They will still work with old versions. All changes are backward compatible. Region Maps, occult tags, etc. have been part of CAS cc for many, many years. The game has had sort layers for ages too (since well before Island Living) - in other words, layering isn't a new feature, it's just that this is the first time the game is giving regular players direct control over it. By and large, clothing does not break after updates (makeup and accessories are a different story). In the very early days of the Sims 4 (we're talking like 2014-2016), major changes were sometimes introduced that screwed up literally all CAS cc. But now, there are so many expansion packs, that introducing fundamental changes to how items are meshed, uv_mapped, vertex-painted, etc. would break literally everything in the game, so the developers avoid messing with it. Tweaks are generally minor. Mods and build/buy objects with custom tuning are the things you need to worry about. They have the potential to break completely every single time the game is patched. (Source: I've also gone long periods playing on old versions). If you'd like more information about what was changed, why I changed it, and how the game will interpret those changes, I'd be happy to explain the technical details.
I lost all of my mods when my previous computer died and am on a mod shopping frenzy atm trying to replace them again. This refresh couldn't have come at a better time! Thank you for all of your hard work 🥰
Good luck!
Beautiful works really but a little question 28) Stone Age Skirt 29) Stone Age Dress are this the same files - because in during dowlodation I notices (1) inside folder((
The file for the Stone Age skirt is correct, on the original post. I just double-linked the Stone Age Dress post twice in the list. Should be fixed now.
ty, was hoping so much some Creators did layering updates!
Thank you for all this work and also put in on the same place! 🪄
No problem!
Incredible, thank you for compiling all the changes in one place.
You're welcome!
