Update!

I've just posted two videos to get started on my Golden Demon entry for this year, which will be the Old World Chaos Lord on Daemonic Steed. The first video looks at Part 1 of the freehand banner for the Lord, which also includes a complete freehand skull.

The second video is just a short guide on how to prepare the cloak by softening the details, allowing you to paint volumetric highlights on them .

The whole series for the Chaos Lord will be complete and will include the rider and horse, the banner, as well as building, sculpting and painting the base.

I also still have content to post for the Blood Angel Captain and more Blood bowl.

The next painting competition has started - Bonezone 2026!

Head over to the website to see all of the information and then check the discord with a Bonezone members area.

One thing I'm wondering is the placement of nmm highlights on the parts of the model that are not in focus. It seems that when painting nmm, you choose an angle that would act as the sort of 2D-motiff to place the reflections according to that angle. But since it's a 3D model, the parts that are not part of the chosen angle of focus needs to be painted as well. However, since reflections would normally travel across the model, depending to the angle of view and the direction of the light source, you need to paint those out of focus areas as if they are not in view. Otherwise multiple angles of view needs to exist simultaneously. How do you handle this? I find it quite difficult.
