Mod Status&Overview for the Sims 4 Mobile & DirectX11 Update 1.107.112
All my mods are working with this new patch since it was mostly a bugfix&performance patch. Only some CC's, UI&Visual mods, and CAS rooms should break, but mostly happens if you switch to DirectX 11. If you find something's not working, please report it to me as always!
And now, I want to do a bit of an overview of this patch. Like I said in a previous post when the shopping cart button dropped, this game is feeling more and more like a mobile game, and look, they thrown more mobile-like bullshit in it!
This time you get free items for opening the game each day&week because their player base is decreasing more and more, which means less people buy their shitty packs and they have to drag players back in somehow. So, instead of making the game fun they came up with remeshes for already existing objects to claim, and hey, they didn't even thought this through because look at this:
WTF??? Are those things already unlocked??? (Source: SimsCommunity)
You don't even need to do this because you can easily randomize traits until you get the "locked event" trait, and you can filter things in build mode for "locked event" build objects, OR you could also simply download a room from the Gallery with the objects already in....like....do they even know how this game works??? Watch them putting a battlepass rewards system for 49,99 for them to backfire it by downloading a room with the objects already in or something🤪.
Basically all these rewards are simply hidden from the player, but you can have those with the methods mentioned. You could also install Simsiboy's mod here. Also watch them instantly fix this bug instead of the more game breaking ones🤦♂️.
And now, let's switch to another topic which is the DirectX 11 support. Did you know this game had only DirectX 9 support??? I didn't know until this patch. DirectX 9, like, we're talking about API's from 2004 (Windows fucking XP era) in 2024, they were outdated even when the game released back in 2014, and only now 10 years later, in 2024, are finally adding DirectX 11 support (which is outdated too since we have DirectX 12 but wathever, it's still fine)🤦♂️. This game feels somewhat like Nintendo's hardware, one step back in tech power and features but one step forward in innovation compared to Playstation or Xbox hardwares, but Sims 4 compared to other Sims games and other games in general is just one step forward and two steps back!
Besides finally adding support for DirectX 11 this patch also fixes tons of bugs and responsivness/performance issues which I'm Happy +10 about.

I am trying out direct X11. It does seem to be way more responsive. Only issue I have found with your mods so far with DX11 is a llama icon when in emotional transition. If you would like me to report as I encounter other llamas, let me know. :)
Yeah, thanks Sheila, I noticed that too yesterday while playing. For that, we have to wait for them to fully support DirectX 11 since I only reference those icons in the tunings and can't do anything about it. I also noticed cropped text for objects descriptions and such (not mods fault) because it's still an experimental thing, so we have to wait for them to fix those issues.❤️
yeap, feeling badly for all this ui - renovations
