Sim Fulfillment Overhaul🌟
I was so disappointed with the fact that fulfilling a short-term goal rewarded you with a MAX value in the fulfillment statistic and achieving an aspiration goal didn't do anything to that (Maxis logic), also there wasn't any consequence in not fulfilling wants when the statistic hit 0 and you didn't receive the fear, so I took inspiration from The Sims 2 Aspiration metre and overhauled the Fulfillment statistic and the Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams. Now every Sim will have the buffs from when you get the fear when score is low, + 2 new custom buffs when the score is high. When you hit 0 and get the Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams you have to be more careful because if you keep not fulfilling your Sims wants, after the sadness they will become:
When Possessed, Sims will be uncontrollable and start to lose satisfaction points (Teens will be dazed instead). When Possession ends they will still have that Angry buff!
This is similar to my other Consequential Fears mod but this time the Possession only happens when you have the Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams. Also, like in Sims 2 you have to avoid facing fears or else you'll lose fulfillment points making the statistic hit 0 faster. When your Sims faces a fear a notification will pop-up so you'll know:
It also tells you the current fulfillment score for that Sim.
Keeping your Sims fulfilled will make them Happy and successfull in life while not fulfilling their wants and facing their fears will make them have a bad mood and have disruptive behaviour.
The point assignation works like this:
Short-Term wants reward you 5 fulfillment points.
Long-Term wants reward you 25 fulfillment points.
Confrontation goals reward you 25 fulfillment points.
Reactionary will either give you 5 points or most of the time nothing.
Completing an aspiration goal will set the statistic to the max.
Facing a fear will make you lose 25 points.
When a Sim fully completes an aspiration, the statistic will be PERMANENTLY locked to the max value!
NOTE: Lazy and Professional Slacker Sims are not affected at all by this mod.
These informations are available in my Let Me Check My Sim Fulfillment Score mod where you can also check the current fulfillment level of a Sim any time you want, so I higly recommend you download that too.
The statistic works like this:
From 100 to 90 Sims will feel accomplished.
From 89 to 70 Sims will feel fulfilled.
From 69 to 30 Sims will not have any positive or negative buffs regarding the fulfillment score.
From 29 to 10 Sims will start to get Tense.
From 9 to 1 Sims will be Sad.
0 will make Sims have the Angry buff + the Possessed (or dazed) buff if they have the Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams.
If you want the chance to get the Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams to be higher check this mod: Harder Fear of Unfulfilled Dreams.
I also highly recommend you play with Buffs Rebalances mod.
This mod is NOT compatible with Consequential Fears.

I have a request; I sometimes play large households and "automate" some sims using control any sim (when it is up to date); could/would you pretty please make a cheat to lock fulfilment for a specific sim where it is so that my sims won't all become totally unfulfilled if I take a break from concentrating on them? I know I could cheat their fulfilment, but I'd like it to stay where it is until I go back to playing them, if that wouldn't be too much work.
Yes, I added a cheat to enable/disable Sim fulfillment decay when you have testingcheats on in the actions pie menu when you click on a sim. Hope this helps!😉
I do have your wants mod, too. Between those and Waffle's comfort motives overhaul keeping my sims happy has NEVER been harder! But I've also never had more fun than I've been having lately. I have noticed a couple of wants popping up that can't be fulfilled. I'm not sure if they are from your mod, but I wanted to mention in case they are: kids wanting to vacuum, non-genius sims wanting to solve hard problems; those are the two I can think of off hand.
Non-genius sims wanting to solve hard problems was an EA oversight which has been fixed, while kids wanting to vacuum is mine. Kids can actually vacuum but only with the portable vacuum cleaners, you buy one, put that in their inventory, click on the floor or whatever and vacuum.😉
I had an idea I would love to see incorporated; could you block progress towards the "single and loving it" lifestyle when sims have a low fulfillment score? It just seems like if they are single and unfulfilled, maybe they are not not "lovin' it" so much.
I see it as "Loving the fact Sim X is single" (so loving just that small part of his/her life) which is different from being miserable because the player isn't letting that Sim fulfill any wants, + if I make Sims have wants related to that Lifestyle then they will definitely love being single if they fulfill those wants, also this mod is not related to Lifestyles, this is Wants&Fears related, but I appreciate your suggestion.😉
I really love this mod, I just don't know if I understood it correctly, so if Sims face their fears, they'll get in a bad mood? Why? Aren't they supposed to be happy when they face a fear? Facing a fear means that they are confronting a fear. If we confront a fear, how do we feel, happy and self-assured, could you change that? Thanks in advance
Poor wording by my part, sorry. I thought facing and confronting meant different things. Realized should be better now (English is not my main language). Anyway when Sims realize a fear and don't have any desire to confront it they will lose points, but if they actually have a want to confront that fear, points will not get subtracted.
