Do you plan on playing Wuthering Waves?

So Wuthering Waves is out now, and everyone seems to be talking about it. No doubt many of you are wondering if I'll be modding this one - I've been asked quite a few times already!

The short answer is: It depends.

Depends on:

1A. If its fun, and I like playing the game.

1B. If it's fun and others like playing the game and there's broad community interest in it.

2. If the game itself is moddable (the tools are still been made and developed, but not properly functioning yet).

3. If the developers are ok with modding (could be like early Genshin days)

4. If me and my team have enough time and energy to take on board another game.

At this point, if all boxes are checked, I'll be looking into WW modding after Genshin 4.7.

Essentially, don't go playing WW expecting mods at this early stage! I'm going to try and see if it's worth while... and if after a month or two, I'm still enjoying it and the interest is still high, it'll be a good time to join in on the modding fun!

I hope the game wont fall off, an actual competitor for Genshin would be to avoid complacency. Genshin still has a lot of room to improve.

Wuthering waves might be good to get genshin devs to add things the community wants but i dont think they are going to be a long term competitor

Many friends went to play, and they all said it's not interesting. It may not be able to keep many people....

Played it for about an hour... Seems to be interesting so far. Some good points compared to Genshin, but also some weaker points (I think I'm not as much a fan of the character designs in this game, and the camera movement feels a bit jerkier). The party switching stuff feels very fluid compared to Genshin though - like Genshin's party switching but turned up to 11. Really love it when the characters double team for a moment during the change over! But that initial story presentation was as annoying to me as Genshin's! (too much unncessary dialogue, annoying characters/voice lines, can't click past significant portions)

well im not going to play it because im already playing so many Gacha games now so if i dare to play more it would be bad for my mind and economy XD (i play Blue Archive, Azur Lane, Honkai Impact and Star Rail, Genshin, Punishing Grey Raven, Aether Gazer and Nikke XD)

So I've played these guys other game, Punishing Grey Raven, and the combat is very input intuitive and reaction based. (To an extent, you can always get to the point of ungodly amounts of damage.) Unlike Genshin where its kind of ends up being a button masher.

Yeah it looks like genshin type of gameplay but sharper and more advanced combat so the harder the game the better imo

Ive seen some people playing it on Twitch and it seems similar to Genshin with more realistic looking graphics.

Good luck if you do. Seems it's more complicated than Genshin and HSR to mod base models
