Update Stuff For March '26

First off, thank you, to everyone that's still waiting for me to resume posting.

Sorry in advance for the novel below, but I have some thoughts I'd like to share. I'd appreciate if you read it, but I get it if you scroll past it to the interesting stuff, time is short, spend it on what matters.

With that said~

I've been thinking about what to do with this account over the last few months, given the challenges these days with creating & posting the kind of stuff I make.

AI image generators, suddenly-puritanical financial institutions, site-wide scraping databases that steal and host paywalled content. Even comms have dried up now. None of my efforts to make connections with people or groups to find new opportunities have panned out. It seems like every day, another site is restricting what I can make & sell. I left X/Twitter because of the Grok nonsense and...effectively killed any potential for growth I had left. There is no longer any real financial incentive to pursue any of this, for me.

It's challenging, trying to build something in the midst of all of this. It's tiring. I'm exhausted, honestly. It'd be easier to just go back to office IT work, but even there, I was filling every spare minute with drawing. I hate that I can't let go of this "need" to make stuff.

I've been thinking about all of the things I wanted to do, all of the stuff I wanted to make, that I never made time for, because I had to keep doing comms to keep the money coming in. Animation, comics, etc. Always waiting for the right time to get started on my own ideas, putting off learning animation & doing short stories...and even if I make something now, some scraper will grab it, or someone will make like 100 similar things with an image generator, so what's the point...?

I guess there isn't one.

There will never be a "perfect time" to do what I want to do, so I may as well get moving now, or I'll be waiting forever. There will always be setbacks, but I gotta keep moving anyway. So I will. Starting now.

TL;DR: Shit sucks, so fuck it, then. I'll do it anyway.

If you read through all that bullshit up there, thank you for giving up some of your time to hear me out. If you didn't, that's cool too, b/c all that matters now is what's coming next:

Sometime in May, I will be wiping all of the posted content prior to 2025 from the Patreon. All content posted for 2025 will remain as-is until the end of 2026, then that's going away too. This is not a joke. If there's something you want to get but don't already have, there are plenty of places to grab it if you don't want to pay for it, and plenty of time to get it from here in any case. In May, I'll also be adding new tiers and splitting future content between them as follows:

Tier 1: $2.50
The final full-resolution illustrations & animations for Patreon-exclusive stuff+any alternate versions. I'm planning for one exclusive set or animation a month.

Tier 2: $5
The illustrations & animations+access to WIP material, split between separate posts for final+WIP stuff for easy distinction. Basically the same as the lone tier is now, but with split posts.

Tier 3: ???
Access to all the other stuff+you get a custom sketch request every month(within my existing comm guidelines for content). Limited slots only. These will be private unless you say it's okay to share them in posts or w/e. These would be rougher drawings based on simple requests you'd give me via DM at the beginning of the month, to be delivered via DM by the end of that month. I'm not sure how to price this one yet, but it won't be too high, since it's not going to be as detailed as my finished stuff and I don't wanna burn myself out.

All rewards will go up at the end of the month, barring delays. All posts will also have separate pricing for individual sale in case you didn't want to sub, but still wanted the content. Still working out the pricing for this, I'll update later.

Billing will resume on April 1st, and I'll do a couple of batch posts in April with the comms & other stuff I've done since the pause in July(it's all great work and you deserve to see it in HD), then from May it's new stuff going forward. This all tentative, the site's changed a bit since the last time I really used it, but I'm confident I can pull it off.

The mission statement hasn't changed; I still like drawing vtubers and other characters getting piped(or rubbed, or licked, I dunno, I have a lot of ideas), and if you're into that, then stick around. As long as there's at least one of you still here, then I have a reason to keep posting. Your sub enables & encourages me to make stuff to give you here, and I appreciate every one.
