The whole point of Re Zero is that Subaru isn't you. He's his own person, and he prefers Emilia.
Imagine if the whale actually didn't show up, it would've been so fucking embarassing moving an army of thousands of people hoping to get revenge😂 1:01:02 :) Also I gotta say, you're one of the only reactors that actually understood the Subaru and Rem situation. For some reason, on the 20-ish reactions I've watched of this series, over 15 of them seems to think that Subaru has an obligation to accept Rem's confession because she poured her heart out and get so mad. Rem also clearly knew that Subaru wouldn't reciprocate her feelings, but still did it to get the man she loved out of a pickle. I 100% would've loved to see these 2 get together rather than Emilia since we don't really know much about her at this point in time, but it baffles me everytime. Some of them are even married, that's the craziest thing.

Idky, it's just an automatic thought process for me. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I do so enjoy when folks comprehend the Emilia x Subaru x Rem best. Personally, I don't get the base issue. I'm polyamourous, so having to pick just one person to show love to and telling anyone else to fuck off just does not compute. Love shared is love multiplied. Plus, Rem is a servant, while Emilia is quasi-royalty. There's no damn chance that have a lover/wife AND a mistress/co-wife with such a wide class-gap is weird in that world. Problem. Avoided!
