i love how no reactors noticed that makima was swaying her cup to the rhythm to reze singing her Russian song showing that she was listening the whole time that's why she knew reze asked denji the mouse question and answered it when she showed up. (Also the significance of the butterfly is it was a monarch butterfly a poisonous type of butterfly which kills whatever tries to eat it that's why the last scene with the butterfly the spider is dead on the web.)

Some things of note to make it hurt more! - Reze had her hand on her neck when she first ran into Denji, she could have killed him but didn't. - In fact, she kept him alive for an *entire week* - We know by the end of the movie she's weakened in water, and she willingly got into a pool naked with him. She was stripped bare both literally and metaphorically. - The butterfly and spider imagery ends with the spider also being dead because that type of butterfly has a poison in it. Denji fell first, Reze was dragged in too. This romance doomed them both. - People aren't normally scared of fireworks even though they're explosions. In a situation like a festival, people fear them even less. In a sense, she also weakened herself here because the fear of explosions would be low in this scenario. - She only decides to go through with her mission when she realizes that Denji likes someone else. I genuinely believe she did actually want to run away with him so she could escape the people who experimented on her while also saving Denji. Its like the most amped up version of a child lashing out- because that's what she was taught. - During the fight, she still teaches him things, laughs at him and his jokes, and at times it even looks like they're dancing. - When they're at the edge of the pier, she only raises her hand to fight after Denji does (this could mean nothing though admittedly) - Some people theorize that when they fall in the water and the flashbacks of their time in the pool start playing, it's actually Reze recalling it rather than Denji- or maybe even both of them, which is why we see her finally give up and rest her head on Denji's shoulder once they hit the bottom. - A liar so skilled she even lies to herself? - When she goes back and fights Makima, you can see she relies solely on offense rather than defense. She doesn't do a single thing to protect herself. This could be how the people who experimented on her trained her- to be powerful enough to not need to defend, and if she dies it means she wasn't powerful enough. i might've missed some stuff but this comment is already getting pretty long lmao

Now we gotta wait til 2027 for S2… It will be worth it though, many people who read the manga including me consider it the peak of Chainsaw Man
