Dev Update (10/20)

Checks when the last dev update was... Oh.

Hello all you wonderful and patient supporters! I am not dead!

Unfortunately I also did that thing again where I go radio silent don't make any meaningful update posts outside of the monthly Boob Mornings and Commissions. For that, I am sorry, you deserve better.

So, what going on? Well, for starters, I haven't abandoned the game. I have been asked on a few occasions if Bayshore Academy is dead or has been abandoned, and I can confidently say that I have not and will not abandon the game and the community I built around it. That said, the development of the game has been stalled for quite some time. A crippling procrastination induced hiatus is probably the most accurate description. Despite my task avoidance problems, the game is on my mind a lot, but thinking about the game and actually working on it are two very different things.

The reason I haven't made any Dev Update posts is because I don't want to make them if there's nothing to show for it. Is radio silence a better alternative to update posts with no actual updates? I don't know. Probably not, considering I once pushed for transparency and communication during similar times with the original dev. I need to be better.

But I do have good news! My good friend and wonderful assistant is helping me resume working on the game. I've got them writing out some of the missing parts currently available in the DevBuild, which is also getting me back into the swing of things. Hopefully I'll have some new content to push to the DevBuild relatively soon, but I can't promise any sort of date. That said, my helper is quite insistent on keeping me honest and on track. They're pretty awesome like that.

That's all I have for you right now. Billing will still remain paused until I start releasing consistent and meaningful updates to the DevBuild again.
