Wednesday WIP
Hello there!
I have a number of projects percolating right now, with a rather large one about to be completed. I've teased my upcoming dungeon in a few places so far, though I haven't spoken about it too much yet.
Kelfecil is back at it again after managing to cook up that awesome adventure for my Gauntlet Runner map. This time he's creating a high level 5E adventure set within a large, maddening, fleshy "creature" that houses a dead God's still beating heart. Dusky Cat will be teaming up with him as well, to bring you additional tokens, just like before! I also managed to snag permission to include a couple of -incredible- animated tokens from The Dungeon Archive.
TDA actually reached out to me before to try and work out a way for me to work with them on a more full time basis, but I absolutely bombed that whole thing and kind of embarrassed myself in the process. Mental health and irl stuff, like usual. So, please do go show them some love especially, they deserve it!!
BirdieMaps is also in the midst of getting the latest batch of FoundryVTT files added into the modules, so thank you yet again to all my Dragoons for your patience on that!
To my paid members, as always you have my deepest thanks and appreciation. I could write a book with all the ways you've helped me so far, and who knows, maybe some day I'll do that too ;) I'm a creature of many talents, I just need to slay these shadows first and then I'll be unstoppable :p
Here's another little snippet of the Dead God's Heart dungeon! I'm trying to get this taken into edits either today or tomorrow, so that way Kelf doesn't have to deal with me adding in random details to places that he's already planned for lol
In addition to getting this piece finished, I've been looking into the other markets where I can start selling my maps. I'm very much not good at promoting or doing all of the paperwork / legal stuff that can come with that, nor am I any good at just uploading to and updating the shops. That said, they are really vital and something I absolutely need to pour more attention and effort into.
I've secured permission to join up with Lost Atlas and The Forge, I just have to actually....do it @_@ I also need to update my Roll20 already, and set up over at CartographyAssets again. Fun fact about CA actually! If you go to their home page and scroll down, there's a night version of a flower garden made in original Dungeondraft assets. I made that! :)
There's also the matter of my physical print shop that I've been putting off for...years now. I've been poking around that a little more as well, and I've found quite nice pricing for 30x40 maps on decent paper, which is exciting. I also have clothing I occasionally piece together with art that I've commissioned, and would like to make that available too. My website also still needs to be made, but that's looking more and more like it will have to be a next year project, if I'm lucky.
As well as working on that stuff, I've been trying to psych myself up to get back into doing the daily things, like Tuesday Poll's Day and Thursday Thaumaturgy. The algorithm loves the more active posting schedule, and I just need to a light a fire up under my buns to get things moving again. To that effect, I've cooked up a new project that I'm going to be doing on Instagram; a daily, ever growing mosaic. Each piece will be 8x12 and designed to come together as one long scroll. Every Monday I'll be posting that weeks pieces stitched onto the existing ones, and calling this Monday Mosaic. Here's how I'm trying to start it
I'll remove the gold bars when it's time to edit them, those are just so I can see the area for each piece. I'm curious to see how far this particular little project will go, if it goes at all lol. I aim to keep these ones fairly simple, as kind of a challenge to myself to not just hyper-fixate on tiny little details for everything an accept an easier flow. We'll see what happens haha.
There are even more projects that I've been trying not to start, because I need to finish what I've already started first. One that I can't get out of my head though....is going to be....a herculean project if I decide to tackle it. I want to make a massive two or three level Dwarven fortress.
However.
The central portion of that fortress is actually a giant, stone, AIRSHIP. Oh yes. Oh yes indeed. Sweet glorious bird of stone, how you rock, how you soar. Some day, I will make you mine...
So, yea, I've been busy, even though I can't help but feel like I'm falling further and further behind. Much love for each and every one of you, you're amazing!
