Thank you, everyone!

Honestly, I was expecting some would be happy to help me out in this rough patch, but I for sure wasn't expecting AT ALL for it to be so quickly and so... Intense, I guess is the appropiate word for it XD

Let's get the most important bits out of the way:

Firstly... Thank you. Sincerely.

You have no idea just how though things can get on this end from time to time, and having to cover for such a costly piece of tech just to be able to continue doing my job to stay afloat was an expense that could have crippled my ability to keep a roof over my head in very real terms, but thanks to the help of those here who selflessly pitched in to alleviate the burden AND those of you who shared my content around, I'm happy to report that this is no longer as much of a concern as it initially was. Now this all has become more manageable, and it won't nuke my living costs from orbit as I feared, so really, truly, THANK YOU.

On a second order of business, but equally as important, I should make it explicitly clear: You no longer need to crank up your pledges from your usuall rates or open new ones for this. Of course, this was never something anyone was under any obligation to do, but if you come around and pledge from now on, please do remember this specific issue is already way more under control than it was when I put out my first post. I will always be thankful to anyone willing to join us here with a pledge or membership, obviously, but any extras beyond what's already been donated will go for regular expenses (aka: keeping my sorry ass alive and away from the wilderness) as it always did from this point on, so you don't need to worry about wether I'll be able to handle this whole tablet issue anymore. The rest is now just me reaching out to some tech stores for it, figuring out the fine print and whatnot. The added financial burden is mostly covered between your help and what I got on me for unexpected stumbles like these.

Thirdly, and lastly, just so you all know how our timelines be lookin' here after this, I'm expecting the new tablet will, hopefuly, be already set and working probably by the first half of this upcoming week (unless there is some issue with the stock of whichever shop I end up getting it from). I'm hoping re-adapting my reflexes to work with a separate controller for the navigation won't be an extremely time consuming experience (probably won't, but still, might take me just a tiny bit to pick up back to my usual pace just to re-accustom myself to the new way of doing things), but figured I should just let you all know that, if you hear me bitching next week or the like, you will probably know why :P

Once again: Thank you SO MUCH for all your help! You're all incredible lifesavers!
