UPDATE: as of the 22nd March, the game is STILL CURRENTLY BROKEN.
If you update, you may or may not be able to use CC anymore. The hotfix to fix the broken patch was also broken, so we are currently waiting on a hotfix for the hotfix for the patch.

Probably has to do with the new creator store, I am surprised it took them this long because Sims 2 and 3 had stores where you used points to get creator content.
Almost definitely. They've clearly broken the way in which the game reads custom mod files with their latest update, likely while tinkering with the way the game will read marketplace files. I want to believe it was likely a mistake and they must be rushing now to fix it, but to break the game this bad.... Either no one actually tested the update before they pushed it through, or it was pushed through broken on purpose. Either way, it it's not fixed soon, many people are going to be very upset, and the 'fix' most people will go to will mean less money for EA 🏴☠️
