Obviously I'm not naive enough to think I'm immune to cognitive dissonance but do you ever see any of the qanon people contend openly with their conviction that liberals are running paedo rings that need smashing when many of them seem to have no problem with conservative talk show hosts defending young teen marriage/lower age of consent in southern states etc?

What do you think will happen to the qanon movement long term? Will it just peter out or will true believers continue to double down even as nothing happens, “When prophecy fails” style? Now that we’ve had one and possibly two murders connected to qanon will the potential for more violence linger?

Someone has already asked about Epstein, so you get my second question, which I've been too much of a coward to ask anywhere else... but that dude who shot a US Senator at a baseball game a couple of years back (and other examples of gun violence against politicians). My favourite is that there's a continuity of govt bunker in the Tasmanian highlands. Built at the same time much of the Tassie hydro scheme post-WW2 when there was ample equipment, manpower, and concrete to conceal the construction in. That's one I'd heard from old Dept of Mines hands. There definitely was a nuclear bunker built by a US govt figure who went a little crazy and figured that the Tassie highlands were the best shot at survival for his family and moved them here and built a bunker on that property. No doubt there's some billionaires doing to the same thing now - though we're probably less popular for that than NZ was it would have been harder for them to stockpile weapons here.
