GM Truck Pack Development Update
Hey everyone,
I wanted to share an update on the GM Truck Pack.
Link is live through the discord on the BETA tier, connect your accounts once subbed for access.
Over the last 7-8 months, I’ve been slowly rebuilding this mod almost from the ground up. Between work, family, a major hard drive failure, and ultimately replacing my entire PC setup, development took longer than expected. Thankfully, everything is back up and running, and development is moving forward again.
A lot has changed, and there’s still plenty more in the works.
What’s New
Nearly all of the JBeam has been completely reworked, with only a few components left to finish. I’ll continue releasing hot fixes and updates as needed.
Mostly new textures
Fully functional lighting.
Functional doors, tailgates, and hoods.
Continued improvements to crash physics (still ironing out a few odd behaviors).
New step side bed and step side trail boxes. Huge thanks to @brett and @chuck for the incredible modeling and JBeam support on these. They put in a tremendous amount of time to make them happen.
New 1969–1970 Chevrolet front end.
Completely new vehicle configurations. Older configs will most likely not be compatible.
Added support for Nix bed parts, including most overland racks and gear.
Large selection of new skins, including two-tone, clean, and dirty variants, with more planned. Feel free to send me your ideas.
New work-in-progress tube bumper.
Hybrid exo cage.
Full skin support for the bobbed bed.
Reworked sliders and frame components.
New trimmed front fenders.
Most frame variants now use the pickup exhaust system instead of the temporary custom setup.
Fuel tanks are currently hidden visually until they’re updated in a future release.
Working cab lights (mostly complete).
Air fresheners no longer swing unrealistically through the cab.
Step side rock sliders designed to work with the trail boxes.
15x9 6Lug "Rally" wheels, both in standard 15in size tires and Nix/Blkfxx tire compatible
20x9 5Lug American Racing VN510(street tire)
20x9 8Lug Battleborn Kilo (Nix/Blkfxx tire compatible)
20x9 8Lug Battleborn Sierra, both bead lock and non bead lock variants (Nix/Blkfxx tire compatible)
Two 20x9 5Lug wheels I free modeled called the WAW and Mesa, both in street tire versions.
35/13.5 + 37/13.5 "ridge grapps" (Will be redoing these)
Planned Features
Jimmy/Blazer (currently targeting a work-in-progress release by the end of summer).
Matching trimmed beds for the trimmed front fenders.
Factory bucket seats and center console.
Additional air freshener options.
Mud flap options.
More armor components.
Flatbed with overland gear.
Functional opening trail boxes for the step side.
Additional bed-mounted gear and accessories.
More wheels
I’m always open to ideas, suggestions, and feedback, so let me know what you’d like to see.
As always, thank you all for your patience and continued support throughout this process. It’s been a hectic several months, but I’m excited to get back into development and continue improving the pack.
