I have no doubt that Claire and Marten can handwave the extended absence and lack of reporting. Maybe they can put in a call to Dora and get her a decent coffee maker.
Or, as a previous commenter suggested, CoD gets relocated to CubeTown. Or maybe a second outlet as a compromise.
