I can see where AICop (yep, totally original and not a blatant ripoff of any well-known franchise) is heading. Despite the less-than-legal nature of the fights, she wants an insider to see that nothing shady is going on (such as being used for money laundering or as a front for... other activities or transactions).
There have been lots of robot cops over the years. R. Daneel Olivaw, Joe Pie, and that robot cop from that robot cop movie... I can't recall what it was called... It's not a ripoff; it's more of an established character archetype.
