Oh. Now I love you even more. I'm also havin a blast with gen8. The most fun game of the franchise so far imo(as in, there's shitload of stuff to do... i had like 7h clocked BEFORE first gym)
I’m really digging the multiplayer aspect. Not full through the game yet, but definitely fun.

As an avid Pokemon Go player, I approve. 😉
I'm pretty sure I get the punchline but I feel like I'm missing some stuff in between that I don't understand.....
Hop is extremely loud about his intentions, his future, and his destiny. But he doesn't really... um... 'prepare' for things. Also, he's where all the misused Britishisms ended up. I started joking about how he'd call something 'pants' next, and then less than a minute later, he did. That's Hop in a nutshell, really.

Sounds about right. Also, why do they insist that they are going to win every single time when I routinely stomp them into mud?
I was firmly expecting when marketing talked about an undefeated champion - and what we do to every opposing trainer in every Pokemon game - that the story would be about the corruption inherent in large-scale marketing driven sports leagues.
It explains a lot.
