When you have had the worst of days covered in the sauce in of creepy non-youness, the only obvious cherry is spookybot. You can't build a creepy Sundae without a cherry.

To everyone concerned about the door: note that Roko is not standing in the same place in the last panel. She may well have opened the door herself in between panels 3 and 4, and then turned her back. I'm guessing because she didn't want to have to open the door and see Spookybot's smiling face. EDIT: The strip was subsequently changed. Never mind.

I love Spookybot. They're snarky, and dangerous, and apparently working for the good guys in general - but aren't nice. I'd bet that, if the Singularity happens, there's going to be a lot of that sort running around. (...and since SB is a multi-body person, they probably know a LOT about assimilating to new bodies...)
Is this the first time spookybot spoke with a rectangular word balloon? Don't most(all) of the AI's speak in rectangular word balloons? Whenever I saw spookybot before, she used a regular roundish word balloon.

I just realized: getting a new body would suddenly remove all the little tracking details her former employer would have on file for her. I am suddenly pretty sure who put that crate of bananas in Crushbot's path. An AI with Roko's skillset and a forensic "clean slate" would make an ideal operative.
I love Spookybot just as much as the next guy, but I'm terribly curious what business they might have with Roko. And I do so hate cliffhangers.
Whoo! Ok--I'm assuming that Roko thinks it's Melon at the door again, and she's going to get a very nasty shock when she turns around? I was wondering if Spookybot was going to show up in this story. I was thinking perhaps Roko is going to be recruited to be Spookybot's eyes and ears? Exciting!
