I feel like a younger Jeph would have just let that Momo-Sven heartbreak happen and made the readers endure it.

I think this is going to be the true test of if Sven's changed as a person. Here's a girl who's obviously very into him- is he going to push his luck or will he be the non-scuzzbucket he's been trying to work towards? Plus you know, Faye, Dora and more would happily beat him senseless if he tried it with Momo, too.

Bubbles has seen the face of war and horror and yet the idea of sad Momo gives her *that* expression.

It's about time something like this happened for Momo. Maybe one day we'll see some such development for Roko. ...Or Winslow. ...Or Roko and Winslow.

I want to believe that Sven would instinctively know to not make her sad.

I've noticed that lately, new comics have been posting later in the day than usual. They used to go up in the late evening, and recently they've been going up around midnight EST. (Or maybe the Patreon email is just going out later?) I used to climb into bed and check my email for the latest comic so I could enjoy it before I nodded off, and lately it's been coming out after I go to sleep. Is that by design? No big deal really; I can adjust to reading it in the morning instead of the evening. It's just something I was used to and a nice little treat at bedtime.

I've read all of the past week bleary-eyed in the middle of the night and just had to go all the way back to the start because I thought it was Clinton all week long. I forgot Sven existed! Yay for character development

I love how Bubs is such the straight man that a simple "Oh dear." can hold so much weight.

Making Momo sad would be like trying to do something to Abigail that Abigail didn't want you to do in Rivers of London

Momo would go from smitten to smiting and Sven would get *real* smote. ⚡⚡⚡ Actually, now i think about it, she'd probably give the most sad/betrayed look ever drawn and walk away without a word. A thousand comics later, Momo sees Sven again and *that's* when the sparks fly.

Anh isn't in this picture because she is sprinting down the street yelling "wait for meeeeee!"

I think Sven is retired from dirtbaggery, he philanders no more.

I love the idea that Momo doesn't need a defence force based solely on the power of her facial expressions. (She may have one anyway, but she doesn't *need* it)

Remind me never to miss off Bubbles. Pissed off mommy Terminator with military training be scary AF! ...but then again who could possdibly piss off Bubbles? (...apart from maybe Corpse Witch, slave merchants, sex traffickers, and anybody who tries to hurt Faye). Bubs is the very epitome of chill and maternal patience.

I feel Momo would go the Obsession route but I’m not sure why.

Who knows? Maybe this time Sven will lose control of the situation and really fall for her.

My fiancée has never had a bad date or a gnarly friend break up (we're in our 30's) and I tease her that everyone just looks at her and is like, no, no, she's too cute and sweet to be weird or awful to, maybe Momo has that too 🤣

And then if Momo does get sad, May and Marigold will enter the ring carrying steel chairs while Dale gets ready to dial 911.
