ok I get why the Slab is a "they/them" but it's always struck me as masculine somehow?
Dammit, I am increasingly frustrated that this was the last strip of the week and we need to wait a whole weekend to find out whether FBSEALH likes the mocha or not.
We will never know, because some things are simply unknowable.

If you had asked me which character would be making an unexpected return in this comic, I probably would have guessed every other character, including Sara, Angus, and Yelling Bird, before I would have guessed the black slab.
