I really like Tilly's legs? Is that too weird?
My guess is that Hannelore's mother is well aware that she's a spy and specifically sent her to Hannelore because she knows Hannelore knows nothing of the business and as a test for Hannelore. In catching a spy or something. Yeah.
This, but also Hanners' mum doesn't know Tilly doesn't *want* to be a spy, so the two corporate chessmasters aren't really aware that their pieces are actually playing a different game.
So now it's obvious they're not an AI. But why did we ever think they were? Just because they're weird? That's racist. We're racist.
Or ableist. Or both!
I am pretty sure that Station or Hannelore's dad would have some sort of surveillance on Tilly, just in case
I like the idea of Hannelore's mum feeding false info to her through Hanners. But Hanners' mum didn't expect Tilly to just actually want to be a good assistant instead..
I wonder where home base is for Tilly. They appear to be in a hotel room, so they're not from 'round them parts.
Also that goddam AC unit under the window of every motel room in the whole continent (within my very limited experience of North American motel rooms). Somewhere, there is one unit that looks just like that but works perfectly. Such is the rumour, but none has ever reported finding it. Does it exist? Did it ever?
Damnit, Jeph! Do you know how long I spent trying to get all those dust spots off my screen, when I scrolled up and realized that you had textured Tilly's ceiling?!? ;)
Hint -- there's a reason why I ended that comment with a smiley. ;) ;) ;)
And now I have a mild crush on Tilly. Thanks a lot, Jeph.
You aren't the only one

Maybe these two can bond over their overbearing business-parents.
I wonder if Hannermom knows about this?
It is actually a plot to feed them misinformation.
Oh now that's interesting to hear, hmmmmmm
